Jerry McCoy, head of Silver Spring's Historical Society, said he hoped
residents and their children would remember the diner's old location and
appearance.
"I'm glad that kids are here to witness this," McCoy said Saturday.
"They'll remember this for the rest of their lives."
Meanwhile, Eunice Ramsey fought through tears to recount her diner
memories.
"I've got mixed feelings," she said. "I've met so many customers. I know
they're habits; what time they eat; what they like to order. None of
that'll change."
