Zutto was born of a family cursed to forever guard a haunted town so
dangerous in fact that even the royal guards dare not investigate even the most
heinous of crimes if it would mean setting a single foot upon the plot. The
cause of why the curse exists in the first place in unknown, perhaps it is
caused by a rift between the world and demons, maybe there was a experiment with
void magic that gone wrong. All that is known is that there are monstrous noises
in the night, sickness and plague in the morning and most of his family live
their lives indoors with ailments and afflictions the world will never know.
Their section of the tier city presents and eerie glow during the day and a
haunting shadow at night. People disappear in the middle of the night and
monsters haunt the shadows in their place. The streets are lined with sickly and
disfigured, often times because of the city itself, beggars and thieves who
mistakenly go there to escape the law never to return. But alas the Phoenix
emperor is honor bound to maintain this town. Creepy individuals and cryptic
sorcerers study this section of the tier city but alas no one but Zutto's family
and some of the more mysterious individuals have been able to survive here for
more then year.
This Curse has reached ears far and wide, so much so that Zutto couldn't handle
the obligation of being the son of a cursed father. His leaving didn't carry the
usual dishonoring connotation because to be truthful, everyone in his family had
the urge to do so but by some unknown force could never seem to do so. Zutto
lived on a farm and produced meager amounts of food to live, but Zutto could
always seem to survive on whatever he had been able to dig up.
When he heard that his family was in trouble once more he had to leave, running
back to that haunted town located within the Phoenix Capital. The person in
danger? His Sister in law who their family vowed to take care of forever more
when her husband, Zutto's Brother, died. Zutto found her in some catacombs in
the Town crypt, which at this point was larger then the town itself, where his
Sister was assaulted by a spirit most foul. Zutto lunged and took a brunt of a
blow so deadly that it left his severely disfigured looking pail and sickly as
if he was stricken with leprosy. Zutto now knew he had to stop his family curse
if he would ever return himself to normalcy.
Zutto didn't have normal means of training as he was just a farmer but his
talent grew, so much in fact that a Dragon Noblemen of the highest of honor as
testament to proper teaching and training made him a bet that he couldn't defeat
his Son who had been trained by the best and brightest of Tutors. Zutto defeated
him barely owing what he had to luck. He appeared displeased and gave him not
only a generous fortune but his sons armor that could only be earned back by
another challenge.
