The sun was high in the sky this day when Sahato's master came to visit her in the forge.

(99) Master: "Sahato hard at work I see."
(101) Sahato : "Yes, master Asoro."
(101) Sahato : "I am trying to get this just like you want it."
(99) Master: "I'm sure you know our supply of iron runs low within the mine.
** (101) Sahato frowns and bows her head. "Yes, I know this." **
(99) Master: "There is a rumor in the court that one from the Underdark has surfaced and seeks to regain entry."
(99) Master: "From knowledge I have gained this is an area rich with mineral resources and might provide a new source of fuel for our forges."
** (99) Master lowers his head **
(99) Master: "None of my kin other than you could survive the journey to the Lion Tier city at this time with no caravans open to us."
(101) Sahato : "Is this so master? Why am I the one best for this?" .... looks surprised
** (99) Master pulls out a map and points to the location of the Mount Zoul'Kar **
(99) Master: "I am old and my body not in the prime it once was."
(99) Master: "It would do us honor if you would undertake this venture for the interest of the family."
(101) Sahato : "Indeed. I will do all I can to uphold our honor, master."
** (99) Master smiles **
(101) Sahato : "You say a dark One has come?"
(99) Master: "Yes, he though humanoids is not human he is one of the lost races."
(99) Master: "And should be easy to identify."
** (101) Sahato shudders **
(99) Master: "He must accomplish his mission, we must gain access to the riches below."
(101) Sahato : "Yes this is bad news."
(101) Sahato : "I am confused, master. The Dark One needs to accomplish a mission? Yes we do need access to more minerals for our forge."
(99) Master: "Yes."
(99) Master: "Their is more information to the matter but I fear to give you such now would be dangerous."
(99) Master: "Some already work against him"
(101) Sahato : "Very well master. I still do not quite understand what a Dark One needs to do that will help us."
(101) Sahato : "I will do my best to accomplish this."
(99) Master: "This map will guide you to their last reported location."
(99) Master: "Please take care... my daughter."
** (99) Master bows towards Sahato **
** (101) Sahato bows deeply and goes to prepare for a long journey. **

** (99) Nomo Ataki pauses and turns a quick glance towards Nogushi **
(99) Nomo Ataki: "Private Nogushi step forward!"
** (103) Nogushi steps forward still at attention. **

(99) Nomo Ataki: "The grand Emperor has selected you for this mission."
** (103) Nogushi a smile comes to his face and he nods slightly **
(99) Nomo Ataki: "I thought to choose a more experienced soldier, but he seems quite confident in your abilities."
** (103) Nogushi the serious look returns. "Yes Sir!" **
(99) Nomo Ataki: "This is mission is already assumed to be a success! Because you will not fail! Am I clear!"

(99) Nomo Ataki: "Gather your equipment and prepare for a debriefing."
(99) Nomo Ataki: "You will venture into the poison swamps make sure you are properly prepared."
** (103) Nogushi nods and salutes. **
(99) Nomo Ataki: "Fallout!"
steps away from the men never returning a glance as he enters his tent
** (103) Nogushi turns at attention and marches briskly to the barracks. **
Thus the circle come to completion as the two venture to meet the many
** (103) Nogushi gathers his gear. Rarely does he remove his gift armor and his Ono. He returns to the commander's tent and waits for entrance. **
** (99) Nomo Ataki steps back outside his tent a stern look on his face **
** (99) Nomo Ataki hands Nogushi 2 small vials of jade oil and a map marked with a yellow X **
(99) Nomo Ataki: "Those vials will give you some added protection against the 'Blood Rage'"
** (103) Nogushi studies the map quickly and slips the jade into his armor. **
(103) Nogushi: "Thank you sir."
(99) Nomo Ataki: "We are the Crab Clan we suffer no insults and take no prisoners!"
(103) Nogushi: "YES SIR!"
(99) Nomo Ataki: "You are now the Crab Clan show the world our finest, and our enemies our steel!"

** (103) Nogushi bows out of respect. "I will not fail!" **

** (103) Nogushi salutes turns stiffly and marches towards the armory to pick up equipment for the swamps. **

As Merclynn and company look of into the vile swamps they must venture to the sun add a red tint to the hazey outlook

Off to the east the crushing sound of metal on wood can be heard as a massive Crab Clan Warrior comes though the foliage his Ono cleaving though the weak underbrush

** (103) Nogushi narrows his eyes. "I am called Amaratu Nogushi. You are traveling through the swamps?" **

(101) Sahato : "I have been sent on a mission that involves the dark one as well. I have been told it is important for it to succeed."

The plot thickens
(101) Sahato : "I have not been told all the details of why our help is needed. I know it involves the honor of my clan."
** (103) Nogushi raises an eyebrow in amusement. "This is not an honorable task? We help him do we not?" **

(102) Zutto: "I cannot, fear is a sense that warns us of danger and keeps us from acting without wisdom"

As the group talks the day passes

The life filled forest they began in turns to twisted roots and murk filled pools. Bones and other items litter the ground
(112) Merclynn Medusae: "We are looking for a lost city and the portal within"
(102) Zutto: "This is starting to look familiar"
(102) Zutto: "Well, then our job is impossible then"

Their is an old trail within the swamps broken and un-clean but still visible

** (101) Sahato is looking around wondering why this swamp is so dangerous because it looks exactly like the swamp she walked through to get here. **
