(513) Evil DM: GAME ON -=No OCC Past this point=- SESSION 7 (COULD BE WORSE... RIGHT?!)
When we last left the party the Raven had returned with a small piece of paper attached to its left leg. Upon entering the room the dancers go into a bit of a frenzy at the sight of a live animal.
** (527) Sahato goes to retrieve the paper from the raven before anything can happen **
The ravens then hops back into the little box after lifting the head with his beak and turns back into a silver and ebony statue.
** (527) Sahato looks relieved to see that the raven is back in the box. I pick it up and put it back in my belongings. **
(527) Sahato: "It is alright everyone, just something planned by me. No need for alarm."
** (527) Sahato then looks at the paper. **
(513) Evil DM: Do you have decipher script?
(527) Sahato: "Well this looks like squiggles."
(524) Yoshiaki : "no clue"
(513) Evil DM: Sahato > The map is very confusing to read it is either in code or shares some of the same properties as this city.
(527) Sahato: "Maybe it was meant for someone who reads the Phoenix language?"
(527) Sahato: "Orrrr wait Lion language?"
** (527) Sahato turns the paper to another direction to see if that makes any sense **
(513) Evil DM: Sahato > not really you need the cipher or someone to break it.
** (524) Yoshiaki looks over at the note **
** (527) Sahato shrugs. "I am unable to read this. Perhaps you can Yoshiaki?" **
** (527) Sahato hands it to him. **
(513) Evil DM: Yoshiaki > the map appears quite clear to you and you notice it takes a rather long detour through the thieves quarters.
(524) Yoshiaki: "that is a long path "
(527) Sahato: "It is?"
(513) Evil DM: Yoshiaki > It appears to be a more or less straight path the them mail library.
(524) Yoshiaki: “this path goes thru the bad part of town. There is a much shorter and safer way there if you know how to get there”
(527) Sahato: "I see. That does not make sense then. Does it show where to go though?"
(524) Yoshiaki: “this will get you there, but let's goes this way”
(527) Sahato: "Is this the ones that asked you to look out for me?"
(524) Yoshiaki: “no that would be the elders”
(513) Evil DM: Yoshiaki > the map does not lead to the building you thought it did.
(527) Sahato: "Why don't we go to them? I don't like this map the scholars gave me."

(524) Yoshiaki: “the elders did not ask to see you .... Why would they want to meet you here”
(527) Sahato: "I don't like that map. I'm just looking for the right person to talk to in this city."
(524) Yoshiaki: “well it is up to you the main library or the old library "

(527) Sahato: "What's the difference?"
(513) Hotate Haniko: "Well..." she says looking over Yoshiaki's shoulder. "One appears to be a trap.. And the other your actual destination."
(524) Yoshiaki : " the main library is in a much better part of town . yes i smell a trap as well "
(527) Sahato: "Oh? Which is the destination?"
(513) Hotate Haniko: "I'm going to guess that map is a trap.. so that would leave you with two options... fall into the trap on purpose to see who or what is behind it or take the safer route and go to the main library." she comments.
(527) Sahato: "But why would the Head Librarian wish to trap someone he or she does not know?"
(524) Yoshiaki : "that thing you are carrying must be very important "
** (513) Hotate Haniko nods as she whispers something to Mitsuki from behind her fan. **
(527) Sahato: "hmmph! I'm tempted to go back out into the swamps and make them try to find me."
(513) Hotate Haniko: "Deary it’s only a trap if you’re not aware of it." she giggles. "What are you carrying that is of such value?" she asks.
(527) Sahato: "I'm not really sure. Just something a friend gave me just before he died."
(513) Hotate Haniko: "Oh dear."
(513) Hotate Haniko: "But that’s my advice." she says as she walks away her long form fitting dress flowing gently behind her.
(527) Sahato: "Thank you."
** (524) Yoshiaki checks his swords "but from the way things are going it does not matter what you do they know who you are and will find you i guess" **
(527) Sahato: "Well I still don't know what to do."
(527) Sahato: "And this city is crazy. It is sounding like I need an army and guides to try to find this place."
** (524) Yoshiaki shrugs " it is not that bad once you get use to it " **
(527) Sahato: "Ha! You need to be a bird and able to fly places in this city to get to the right place."
(524) Yoshiaki : " no need to fly . i know how to get to both places"
(527) Sahato: "So where is the right place?"
(524) Yoshiaki : " not really sure . i will leave it up to you "
(527) Sahato: "grrrrrrrrrr. Sic him, Tamat. You are not helping me a lot right now."
(513) Tamat: Ruff!!
** (513) Tamat glares at Yoshiaki and tackles him playfully. **

** (513) Tamat squirms a bit the rolls off Yoshiaki. **
** (513) Hotate Haniko runs back into the dressing room area and shuts the door behind her then moves over towards the two as they stand and ponder their next move. **
(513) Hotate Haniko: "I'm sorry to bare bad news but you have quite a few un-invited guest outside now would be a good time to make an exit.."
(527) Sahato: "What!"
** (524) Yoshiaki looks to Sahato **
** (513) Hotate Haniko sheaths a fan with a smear of blood on the outer edges. **
(524) Yoshiaki : " looks like we will be fighting our way out regardless"
(527) Sahato: "I still wish I was in the swamps, much safer."
(513) Hotate Haniko: "Umm well you can take the... secret exit.." she says rather hesitantly.
(524) Yoshiaki : " guess that works too "
(527) Sahato: "I guess we better go ..... I still don't know where though.'
(513) Hotate Haniko: "Think while you run deary, much safer that way." she says as a loud thud hits the dressing room door followed by multiple footsteps.
** (524) Yoshiaki nods **

** (513) a female dancer pulls a curtain in the rear of the room to the side and presses a release panel opening a small passage way **
(527) Sahato: "I have no idea. I've never been here before."
(527) Sahato: "Oh, that way I guess."
** (524) Yoshiaki wanting for Sahato to enter the passage **
** (527) Sahato enters the sudden opening **
(513) a female dancer: "This will take you out back of the theater; we will inform Mitsuki about your departure."
The small tunnel is quite clean and seems to be well up kept. It is about 5x5 and surrounded by wood on all sides. It is unclear if this was really meant as an exit or a hidden entrance at this time.
** (513) a female dancer motions for Yoshiaki to enter.. "Please hurry Sir." **
** (513) Tamat enters the hole after Sahato. "Ruff!" **
** (524) Yoshiaki follows Sahato **
** (527) Sahato goes forward cautiously. **
You crawl for a few minutes before you can see the light at the end of the tunnel covered by a wooden panel.
(527) Sahato: "oh well looks like this is it then."
** (524) Yoshiaki nods **
** (527) Sahato sighs and moves the panel and gets ready to fight. **
There is a little commotion outside but that seems to be everyday people.
(524) Yoshiaki : " we should hurry witch library should we go to "
** (527) Sahato looks around as she emerges and then looks back for Yoshiaki **

(527) Sahato: "I still think we should go to those who hired you. But the main library sounds right. But I have no clue."
** (524) Yoshiaki nods and leads the way to the main library **

Yoshiaki moves through the crowd with purpose... Sahato turns on her deadly focus and the crowd parts way for her.. the goal is in sight the main library can be seen up ahead.
** (527) Sahato whispers.... "Is that the place?" **
(524) Yoshiaki: " yep this is were you wanted”
(527) Sahato: "Let us hope it is the right place."
** (527) Sahato follows Yoshiaki to the library. **
As you approach the front of the library you notice a large crowd has gathered and there appears to be a bit of a commotion near the front entrance.
** (524) Yoshiaki careful looks over the crowd **
(513) Evil DM: Spot check Yoshiaki
** (527) Sahato whispers.... "What is going on?" **

(513) Evil DM: Yoshiaki > You can't quite see what’s going on from your vantage point until you get a bit closer and one of the town guards stops you....
(513) a town guard: "Ok hold it right there.. no civilians in the crime scene please.. the library is closed till further notice." he says as he shoves you backward slightly.
(524) Yoshiaki: " what happen this time ?"
** (527) Sahato looks alarmed **
(513) a town guard: "It appears the high library has taken his own life for unknown reasons."
** (524) Yoshiaki shakes his head **
(513) a town guard: "We've had to quarantine the area until we can investigate. We have spirit callers looking for the deceased spirit for questions but have no leads up till now." he says once he recognizes Yoshiaki.
** (527) Sahato stays quiet and listens. **
(513) a town guard: "Its not a pretty sight inside there..." he says his face a bit down trodden.
** (524) Yoshiaki shakes his head " i remember when this was a safe town " **
** (513) Ii Hikaru tugs on Sahato's shirt "Hello again ma'am Pidge thought he saw someone familiar." **
(513) a town guard: "Yeah I'm not sure what came to town recently but I'll be glad when it leaves.. too.."
** (527) Sahato looks startled when someone tugs her shirt. **
(527) Sahato: "Oh! Oh it is you. Hello Pidge. Good to see you, I think. Something bad seems to have happened in the library."
(513) Ii Hikaru: "Pidge says hi, guards say that someone is lost and we are helping them to find the person."
(513) Ii Hikaru: "I don't feel very good about this area I'm getting some bad vibes.. and Pidge doesn't want me to go inside... would you two mind comming with me? I can say your my escort."
** (524) Yoshiaki nods **
(527) Sahato: "uhhhh .... Ok I guess. I am with him. So I guess we can go."
** (513) Ii Hikaru smiles a smile that makes the bad feelings and thoughts go away for a moment. **
(513) Ii Hikaru: "Great! Mister Guard they two are with me please granting us passage."
** (513) a town guard bows respectfully saying” Yes caller Hikaru." before he rises. **
(513) a town guard: "Caller and escort coming through make way!" he yells as the mass behind him parts granting the group free access to the entrance of the library. The great door shut though blood can be seen flowing underneath them.
(527) Sahato: "Oh dear. This does look bad."
As the doors to the library creep open a foul smell of decay assaults your senses..
** (524) Yoshiaki looks about for clues **
** (513) Ii Hikaru holds her sleeves up to her nose in an attempt to block out the foul smell. **
(527) Sahato: "I'm not too sure if that will work li. But you are the one who can maybe find out what happened."
The entry way is massive with the dome that is the whole of the library open and expansive. That are many wooden benches that normally would be occupied which now lay empty.. The foul odor drifts in from the west.
(527) Sahato: "Tamat, find the place .... Help li."
(513) Tamat: Ruff!
** (513) Tamat rushes off towards the west. **

** (524) Yoshiaki follows Tamat **
(527) Sahato: "Come on li. I think my dog smells the right place maybe."
The party has entered the library still in search of the high librarian though now he is dead rather than alive... are the killers still here or was he the killer... we shall find out next week!!
