** (550) Yoshiaki blush a little looking down at his food eating **
When we last left the group two members were having dinner with the family of Miyazaki Yoshiaki. One was off with other events...
** (540) Sahato has no clue what to do since she is a visitor of the house and city. **
(566) Evil DM: Do you have knowledge local Sahato?
The family at believed at first that Sahato might have been more than just friends with Yoshiaki was quite pleased to meet her after discovering they were just friends their attitude has not changed much and still treat her as one of the household. Some of the members even comment on her unique sword style.
(540) Sahato: "It is a practice I must keep doing to honor my profession as a kensai."
** (550) Yoshiaki seems a bit relieved at the understanding and relaxes a bit **
(550) Yoshiaki: " Miss Sahato if you are not overly tried from your try would you be willing to honor me with a friendly match after dinner?"
(540) Sahato: "Very well I will do that."
(540) Sahato: "I may not be very good with training blades."
** (550) Yoshiaki smiles and returns to eating **
A younger member of the family maybe about 18 years of old comes over to where Sahato is sitting bows and whispers something in her ear. **
** (540) Sahato listens **
(550) Yoshiaki: " we each grow stronger by doing that witch we are not very good at until the point that we are good at it”
** (540) Sahato looks confused and responds to the one whispering. **
The young man looks a little disappointed then whispers back and returns to his seat.
(540) Sahato: "Indeed, Yoshiaki. I only mentioned it because of the devotion I must place to training with my blade. It allows little time to practice with any other."
** (550) Yoshiaki nods **
(540) Sahato: "I am sorry to disappoint you young sir. I would be willing to help you train if that is what you wanted."
He bows then takes his place back near the end of the table a few eyes turn to stare at him the Sahato before the meal continues.
(554) Mitsuki: sitting in her room the girl, somewhat disappointed in the fact that she has no other clothes than the dress she wore to the bathhouse, takes off her dress folding it neatly, opting to sit naked rather than in her dress any longer. she finds a brush and combs out her long hair, quietly passing the time, while listening to whatever she can hear from around the house.
A servant with a well decorated plate gathers a bit of the food a leaves the room after whispering to the head of the household.
(566) Evil DM: Mitsuki > a short while later someone taps at your door.
** (550) Yoshiaki rises from the table once the meal has been cleared bowing to the head then heading to the dojo **
(554) Mitsuki: frowning at the tap from her door, the girl looks around the room, finding a short, night robe in a closet she puts it on, tying it loosely so that she can answer the door. She opens it, looking out
(566) Evil DM: You see a young woman kneeling at the side of the door with a plate of food from the table.
(554) Mitsuki: Smiling, she opens the door a little wider for the young woman, "come in, and thank you for the food." she shuts the door behind the young woman
(566) a young woman: "Lady Mitsuki I have brought you food from the table. Please enjoy this hospitality."
(554) Mitsuki: She nods, taking the plate and setting it on the bed, "A kindness this family has brought to me. Thank you and may your family prosper."
(566) a young woman: "Thank you ma'am I will come get the plate later and save your the trouble of a walk to the kitchen. Please leave it by the door and I shall not distrub your sleep."
** (540) Sahato bows to the head of the house and thanks him for the meal and hospitality. **
** (540) Sahato then gets up and starts back to the dojo. **
The dinner winding down members are starting to leave the table. Some nod towards Sahato as she leave a few of the children run up and hug her.
** (554) Mitsuki gives a short bow of her head, watching the young woman leave the room and then looking at the plate that was brought to her **
** (550) Yoshiaki is sitting in a lotus pose in the dojo waiting **
** (540) Sahato is surprised when they hug her but pleased too. **
** (540) Sahato walks to the dojo and finds Yoshiaki waiting. **
** (550) Yoshiaki notice Sahato enter and springs to his feet and bows **

It is about 9pm and the moonlight shines into the dojo creating a pale light through the windows. In the background the strumming of a stringed instrument can be heard lightly playing.
(554) Mitsuki: reading something, she eats some of the food, then quickly puts her dress back on, straightening it and making sure it hugs in just the right places. she also braids some of her hair into a crown, then let's it spill across her back. she moves out of the room, putting the dishes against the wall, with some of the food still on the plate. She walks through the house, inquiring as to an elder she might discuss something with
** (550) Yoshiaki moves to take his place and waits for Sahato **

(540) Sahato: "That is different"
(550) Yoshiaki: “and my skills are rusty from years of fighting my own shadow”
(566) Evil DM: Yoshiaki you would have to use a training weapon or take the -4 penalty to attack rolls to deal subdual
** (554) Mitsuki manages to locate one of the leaders of the house, she bows low with all the grace she can, "Good evening Honored Matron, I am Mitsuki Sato of the Crane Clan, here on a journey of trade and business. I have a proposition for you, if you would be hear my offer." **
(540) Sahato: "I would think you get plenty of practice as a member of the guards"
** (550) Yoshiaki draws his blades and stand ready" my normal post is in a very peaceful part of the city” **

** (540) Sahato’s blade seems to leap from her scabbard. **
** (550) Yoshiaki smiles and stand ready waiting for her to make the first move **
(566) Lady Riou: "Well what have we here.. I assume you are a guest of my nephew?" she pauses as she looks Mitsuki over.
** (540) Sahato moves left and looks for an opening then swiftly cuts back to the right and tries a slash **
(554) Mitsuki: the girl smiles politely, "You could say I'm a guest of his. I am accompanying his other companion, Lady Sahato Borogai."

(566) Lady Riou: "Ah the sword mistress." her eye lifts a moment "What business does a 'dancer' have with a lady of this house." her voice and tone quite clear she knows what is going on.

(554) Mitsuki: the girl remains kneeling, but looks up from her kneeling position, "Lady Riou, I am aware that your family is a major force in the weapon and armor trade in this city. I would like to negotiate a contract, between your family and my... family. My family can give you access to the Crane Clan's city and arms trades, and would help establish your trade in their city for a small fee for our efforts of course."
(566) Lady Riou: "A small fee, rarely are fees small." she remarks.
(566) Evil DM: Yoshiaki your not sure if after the last hit to the side if you didn't hear a crack.
(554) Mitsuki: "Well the fee would be negotiable of course. The Crane clan are not warriors, and could use quality goods. I'm sure that you would make a profit on any fee you might incur from us for being a go between."
** (550) Yoshiaki waits for Sahato to wake up before checking if she is wounder would not want her getting the wrong idea **
(566) Lady Riou: "How reputable are these merchants who would be selling our clans wares." she asks.
(566) Evil DM: Yoshiaki you think you see a light bruise on her right side forming.
(554) Mitsuki: "They are quite reputable. Our merchants are legitimate and well-respected in the city. Your goods would not be sold in alleys or backstreet markets, nothing of that sort."
(540) Sahato: after a few minutes I begin to stir
(566) Lady Riou: "Hmm.. bring me the insignia of one of your vendors guilds and I shall take the offer under light consideration."
(550) Yoshiaki: “I’m sorry miss Sahato. It seems i over did it some what "
(540) Sahato: "I told ..... you .... I .... was .... poor .... at this."
(550) Yoshiaki: “would you allow me to tend to your wound?"
(540) Sahato: "Hynnnnng .... I seem to be unable to..... You heal?"
** (550) Yoshiaki nods " i have maybe skills "\ **
(550) Yoshiaki: " i do not have and skills in magic but i do have some skills as a healer "
(540) Sahato: "Then you may try."
(554) Mitsuki: Bowing, she begins to back away, "Thank you Lady Riou. I hope our offer will be enough to consider a more serious look." She is almost out the door, when she offers one more thing, "My Lady, we could also offer discounted rates on trade goods that are created by the Crane clan master artisans. Prices lower than you will find in any other market, prices that are often reserved for Crane Clan members only."
** (550) Yoshiaki moves closer and examines the wound **

** (566) Lady Riou smiles slightly "I'm listening, what good would you be able to make available?" **

(566) Evil DM: Yoshiaki the wounds seems quite superficial if you didn't know better you would think she's not really hurt at all..
(540) Sahato: "grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr"
(540) Sahato: "Down my good Tamat."
** (550) Yoshiaki looks over the wound “looks like with a hot bath and a good nights rest you should be fine” **
(540) Sahato: "I .... hope so. Quite painful now."
(554) Mitsuki: she takes a step forward, inserting herself physicaly into the conversation, but not completely, "The goods range from hand-woven cloth, custom works of art, pieces of furniture and wood-working, and all sorts of other crafts you can imagine. About the one skill that my clan lacks is the art of armor and weapon crafting."
** (550) Yoshiaki bows to sahato " thank you for the match . it has been some time since i was able to really test my skills " **

(571) Lady Riou: "Indeed the Crane never were much for weapons or armor not that they were not accomplished in their own right.. that is a more fitting offer but I still require the insignia." unless it is produced we have little else to discuss this late.
(554) Mitsuki: the girl nods, "I will obtain the insignia as soon as I can then. Thank you again for hearing my offer." she bows low, a graceful, exaggerated move (but not too much) and moves away from the room
** (571) Lady Riou smiles slightly then turns and continues to her room. **
(550) Yoshiaki: “miss Sahato will you need help getting back to your room ?"
(540) Sahato: No. Once I get up I'll be fine thank you.
** (550) Yoshiaki holds out his hand to help her to her feet **
** (540) Sahato takes his hand for aid **
Attempting to assign the role of GM to (571) Evil DM...
** (540) Sahato moves very slowly back to her room and gets ready to rest painfully **
** (554) Mitsuki heads back to her room, slipping into it and slipping back into the short kimono, opening a window to let in the cool night air **
** (550) Yoshiaki heads to the bath to take a hot bath **
(571) Evil DM: Unless anyone else has something they would like to do tonight we'll move on to morning.
** (540) Sahato says softly to herself when she is in her room, "safer in the swamps" **
** (554) Mitsuki sleeps like a baby **
** (540) Sahato sleeps fitfully **
** (550) Yoshiaki sleeps like the dead **
The morning comes with the crow of a rooster, an artificial one at least.
** (550) Yoshiaki wakes and head to the dojo for his morning workout **
** (554) Mitsuki wakes, brushing out her hair again and grudgingly putting her dress back on, wishing she had her other clothes **
** (540) Sahato groans as she wakes and tests her pain. Then slowly dresses to face the day. She is not sure where to go so remains in her room **
(571) Evil DM: Mitsuki > you have a performance soon for your current client.
** (550) Yoshiaki after his work out stops by each girls room just long enough to knock and announce the morning meal **
** (550) Yoshiaki heads to the dinning hall **
** (540) Sahato makes her way back to the dining room **
(554) Mitsuki: gathering her few belongings, Mitsuki heads down to greet Yoshiaki. "I apologize for having to leave abruptly from your hospitality, but I have a performance coming up that I must attend, after all business is business. However, I would like to extend an invitation to you, Lady Borogai, and any others from your gracious house that would wish to attend the performance."
(540) Sahato: "Performance?"
(554) Mitsuki: "I am a professional dancer. My expertise as taught to me by the Crane Clan."
(540) Sahato: "How will you find your way?"
** (550) Yoshiaki nods “that will be up to miss Sahato since there is other business she is in town for " **
(540) Sahato: "I do not know where I must go."
(550) Yoshiaki: “maybe if you tell me what you are seeking i can tell you "
(540) Sahato: "I was told that a scholar would be needed is all."
** (550) Yoshiaki nods **
(550) Yoshiaki: “then we have time”
** (554) Mitsuki turns to Yoshiaki, "Do you know where the Flying Squall studio is? That is where my performance will be" **
** (550) Yoshiaki nods **
(550) Yoshiaki: “what use would be a guide that does not know there way around”
(554) Mitsuki: she smiles politely, "then I would appreciate if you were to guide me there."
** (550) Yoshiaki nods and looks to Sahato" as long as you do not mind miss” **
(540) Sahato: "I do not mind. I have no way to know where to go."
(550) Yoshiaki: “then we will go when you are ready Miss Mitsuki”
(554) Mitsuki: "the sooner the better if you please. I will need time to change and prepare"
(550) Yoshiaki: “I will wait here. If you wish there is a bath out behind the dojo”
** (540) Sahato waits **
(554) Mitsuki: "there is no need, I'm sure they'll have a wash basin. I am eager to get back to my companions, as they will be expecting me early."
** (550) Yoshiaki stand ready to go \ **
(550) Yoshiaki: “then follow me miss”
(550) Yoshiaki: “shell we be going then ladies?"
** (554) Mitsuki is already up and ready to go, she nods to Yoshi and helps Sahato to stand (if she was sitting) **
** (540) Sahato gets up **
(540) Sahato: "I am ready"
** (550) Yoshiaki heads out watching Sahato to make sure she is not more hurt than she seems **
As you exit the household onto the streets you notice they seem rather empty even though it is morning that is a bit unusual.
** (540) Sahato is walking a bit stiffly but does not seem in much pain **
** (550) Yoshiaki glance about **
** (554) Mitsuki notices the rather empty streets and turns to Yoshiaki, "is it normal to be this quiet? Usually I thought there was more bustle to the streets." **
The street leading back to the library seems to be blocked off in the distance with some guards standing at a make shift barricade.
** (550) Yoshiaki walks over to the guard **
(550) Yoshiaki: “what is going on this morning?"
As the group approaches the guards a loud noise and a plume of smoke envelopes the group....
** (554) Mitsuki immediately reaches into her obi, grabbing for the fans **
** (550) Yoshiaki hands goes to his blades **
As the smoke slowly clears not only are the guards gone... but so is SAHATO!!
** (550) Yoshiaki franticly looks around **
