(56) Evil DM: GAME ON -=No OCC Past this point=- Session 2
** (77) Yoshiaki looks over the thugs half disappointed **
When we last left the group they were in the female quarters of a bath house surrounded by dead bodies.
** (77) Yoshiaki turns and steps back outside **
(74) Sahato: "What is done with ..... ?"
** (74) Sahato is unsure what she should do. **
(56) Evil DM: As you walk outside Yoshiaki you notice quit a commotion going on and a few of your fellow guards waiting for you.
(77) Yoshiaki: “You sure got here quickly "
(56) a guard: "What’s going on here? We received reports of a fight from inside the bathhouse?"
** (74) Sahato finishes her bath and begins getting dressed. She is looking around furtively. **
(77) Yoshiaki: “Three thugs tried too attack the ladies inside. Two fell by the blade the third took poison to keep from being taken alive”
** (56) a guard looks at another guard. "Indeed... well we will need the usual write up and names of the participants before council will pass verdict on if it was defense or assault." **
** (74) Sahato begins moving further into the bath house. **
** (81) Mitsuki finishes rinsing the blood off, then slips back into her dress, tucking her fans in and following after Sahato, "where are you off to?" **
(56) a guard: "They are not under arrest but there will be questions and the bodies need to be removed before a panic insures."
(77) Yoshiaki: " i will have that in the morning as normal . The council ordered me to watch over one of the ladies." nods
(74) Sahato: "Hmmmm? I seek a way out."
** (56) a guard turns to the other guards behind him "Clear these people out of here we have work to do." **
** (77) Yoshiaki knocks on the door “ladies you may wish to get dressed the guards are here " **
** (74) Sahato moves faster. **
(81) Mitsuki: the girl follows after Sahato, "well there is a front door yes? Or do you not want the guards to see you?"
(74) Sahato: "Are you sure they are guards? That one seemed very odd to me."
(81) Mitsuki: "which one seemed odd, the skinny guy outside the door? He seemed eager enough to help us."
(56) Tamat: "Ruff!"
(77) Yoshiaki: “as sure as one could be. We should retire to some place more peaceful to write my report”
(74) Sahato: "Too eager. I thought he had bad intentions toward me. He was not talking plainly."
(81) Mitsuki: she shrugs, "well I'll follow you. I want nothing to do with the guards and all this trouble." she gestures back at the dead bodies
(77) Yoshiaki: “ladies are there a problem?"
(74) Sahato: "Yes. I had rather that not happen too. But still I must finish my promise."
** (74) Sahato is looking for a back way out. **
** (81) Mitsuki raises an eyebrow but shrugs, gesturing for Sahato to lead. she just grins, looking relaxed and looking for a back door, but not overly hard **
(56) Evil DM: You notice there is a sealed door to the south of the room, but you are not sure if it is an exit.
** (74) Sahato heads to the door and tries to open it. **
(56) Evil DM: It appears to be locked
** (74) Sahato shakes her head in frustration and looks for another path. **
(74) Sahato: “..... Much easier in the swamps ...."
(77) Yoshiaki: " ladies are you dressed now these men would like to remove the bodies ?"
** (81) Mitsuki looks around trying to see if she can find anything useful, but she remains around the door. She just murmurs "mmhmm" to sahato, not loud enough for Yoshi to hear though" **
** (81) Mitsuki walks over to the thugs, searching them for a bit, then pulls out something that looks like a wire. She grins, then moves over to the door and sees if the unfamiliar tools will work [1d20+8] => [12,8] = (20)

(81) Mitsuki: grinning to herself, she calls smiles over at Sahato, "should we see where this door leads?"
(74) Sahato: "How did? ..... "
(74) Sahato: "Yes, but with caution."
(81) Mitsuki: she shrugs, "little trick I learned as a kid..." she tucks the picks into her beltline, and then slowly opens the door
(77) Yoshiaki: “fine they are coming in now ready or not " steps a side to allow the guards to enter
The guards enter the room and find the two women gone. A door lies open to the south.
** (77) Yoshiaki enters behind the guard’s shaking his head **
(77) Yoshiaki: “looks like this one does not wish to be protected but orders are orders for the moment”
** (77) Yoshiaki heads thru the south door and looks around **
(56) Evil DM: Sahato and Mitsuki: The room you have entered appears to be the main hot spring that feeds the bathhouse.
** (81) Mitsuki looks around quickly for another way out **
** (74) Sahato is also looking for a way out and hopes it doesn't involve swimming. **
(56) Evil DM: This part of the bathhouse is more or less hidden from public view by a large wooden fence.
** (74) Sahato smells the springs **
(81) Mitsuki: the girl heads over to the fence, seeing if it's low enough to get over somehow
(56) Evil DM: There is a light sulfur smell that seems to be mixed with herbs that are added daily to the hot springs.
(56) Evil DM: Fence > Climb or Acrobatic check OR You can take a little longer and assist each other over for a lesser difficulty.
(74) Sahato: "Good idea."
(81) Mitsuki: "you want to try the fence? I don't really know if I can climb in this" she gestures at her dress, which might complicate things despite the long slits
(74) Sahato: "Perhaps we can aid each other. I'm sure Tamat will need help."
(56) Tamat: "Ruff!"
(74) Sahato: "Yes I know."
** (56) Tamat digs a tiny hole under the fence and waits on the other side. **
** (81) Mitsuki looks at the dog, but then sees he found his own way and grins, "well are you any good at climbing?" **
(74) Sahato: "Ah well that was easy for him now our turn."
(56) Tamat: "Ruff!"
(74) Sahato: "No. But this is a good time to learn."
(81) Mitsuki: she grins and shrugs "have any kind of rope? If you help me over, and I can throw rope over and help you out"
(74) Sahato: "Unfortunately I have no rope except my fishing line."
** (81) Mitsuki shrugs, "well I'll help you out and then see if I can get myself over if you don't mind." **

Yoshiaki walks into the hot springs which is obscured by steam. (Spot Check Yoshiaki)

(56) Tamat: Sahato you find a place with some slightly better hand holds but that’s about it.

(74) Sahato: "This place seems better. I'm going to try here."
(56) Evil DM: Yoshiaki you notice to shadowy figures near the edge of the wall.
** (77) Yoshiaki heads over to the figures **

** (81) Mitsuki nods, then sees if she can get herself over [1d20+4] => [7,4] = (11) acrobatics **
** (74) Sahato slips **
(56) Evil DM: Sahato thanks to the grips you slip a little but manage to get over.
(56) Evil DM: Mitsuki you gracefully scale the wall.
(74) Sahato: "ooof."
** (81) Mitsuki hops down onto the other side, patting Tamat on the head and waiting a moment for Sahato **
(74) Sahato: "That was harder than I thought."
(56) Evil DM: Sahato and Mitsuki end up in a back alley.
(81) Mitsuki: "well the steam probably makes the walls a bit slick. Do you know where we're going by chance?"
** (74) Sahato looks around trying to see where she is. **
(74) Sahato: "I've no idea. I just need to find a scholar to deliver something."
(81) Mitsuki: she shrugs; "well I think wherever we're going we need to get away from the creepers following us." she starts heading back out the alley
(74) Sahato: "I did not expect brigands to attack me."
(81) Mitsuki: "well apparently whatever you're delivering must be important. Do you know what it is at all?"
** (74) Sahato shakes her head no. **
** (81) Mitsuki smiles at Sahato, "well must be important to you then." she walks out of the alley, taking her time and looking perfectly at ease, "think we should try to find someone that looks official around here?" **
** (77) Yoshiaki signs and climbs over the wall **

(74) Sahato: "Do you know what officials look like?"
(81) Mitsuki: the girl shrugs again, "not totally sure, only been around here for a couple days myself."
(56) Evil DM: Yoshiaki you make it over the wall to find the two women gone but a trail of foot prints lead out of the alley.
** (77) Yoshiaki follows with haste **
(74) Sahato: "I'm worse than you are. I just got here today.'
(81) Mitsuki: "Well, it seems to be a rude greeting for you." she looks around, still walking around. Trying to find anyone that looks like a guard and not some random mercenary
(74) Sahato: "When in doubt, ask Tamat."
(56) Evil DM: Yoshiaki you make out two women who could be from the bathhouse though it is hard to tell with clothing and armor on.
** (56) Tamat turns and points at Yoshiaki "Ruff!" **
** (77) Yoshiaki calmly walks over grinning **
** (74) Sahato turns to see where Tamat is looking. .... "Oh just great ....." **
** (81) Mitsuki can't help but grin, "Think we should run from him or cut our losses and face him in the middle of the road?" **
(74) Sahato: "Rather persistent isn't he?"
(77) Yoshiaki: “as I was saying we should go some place more peaceful so i can write my report ."
(74) Sahato: "Why should we go anywhere with you?"
** (81) Mitsuki shrugs, "you two can go where you want. I'm just here to dance" **
(74) Sahato: "Dance?"
(81) Mitsuki: the girl grins and gives a twirl, causing her dress to swirl, "yup. dance." she winks at Sahato but isn't too quick to leave the area
** (77) Yoshiaki points to Sahato " the elders asked me to take care of you . as for your new friend I would think you would feel better having some one you are comfortable with you. So you should both be my guest for the night and I will take you to were you wish to go in the morning " **
(74) Sahato: "Is he asking what I think he is asking?" .... ~looks suspicious
** (77) Yoshiaki thinks for a moment " how rude of me i forgot to introduce my self " **
(81) Mitsuki: "I think he might be. Usually I don't do anything like that..." she mutters some under her breath "for free..." her smile is a little broader, almost too big
** (77) Yoshiaki bow “Yoshiaki of the Miyazaki family pound member of the dragon clan” **
(74) Sahato: "Well at least he has a name now."
** (81) Mitsuki grins at Sahato, "You want a friend if this guy wants to stick around?" **
** (77) Yoshiaki stands back up and looks at both ladies expectantly **
(74) Sahato: "I would appreciate that .... But will respect your need to do your own business."
(81) Mitsuki: "I wouldn't mind. I'm done dancing for the day, so I think I'll stick around. this day has certainly been interesting so far."
(74) Sahato: "I thank you."
(74) Sahato: "Very well, Yoshiaki I will accompany you. But please do not try anything ... funny."
** (77) Yoshiaki smirks “just one word of warning do not wander off on your own . Outsiders tend to get lost in these back streets more than once we have found them too late " **
** (81) Mitsuki shrugs, putting an arm around Sahato's shoulder and motioning Yoshiaki ahead of them, "lead the way then noble sir." **
(74) Sahato: "I was wondering why everyone who built this city was so paranoid."
** (77) Yoshiaki turns and walks forward thru what at first glance looks like a sold wall but when you look closer you see the passage simple blinds in to the rest of the wall **
** (74) Sahato looks up and the sky seems to spin a moment as she remembers a past. **
(77) Yoshiaki: “the easiest way to defend a city from attack by outsiders is to make it so the outsiders can never reach the true city alive”
** (74) Sahato is stumbling almost blindly **
** (81) Mitsuki mozies along, seeming un-phased but having trouble keeping track of directions, withholding her comment, but making a face to Yoshi's back **
** (74) Sahato stops and shakes her head **
(77) Yoshiaki: " if you do not mind me asking for your names ?"
(74) Sahato: "T-tamat? Are you here?"
** (74) Sahato bends down and hugs her dog closely. **
(81) Mitsuki: she stops next to Sahato, patting her should, "are you alright?" she ignores Yoshi's question, instead focusing on Sahato
(56) Tamat: "Ruff!"
(74) Sahato: "I .... Will be.... Fine. So sorry."
(77) Yoshiaki: " do be careful there are worse things back here to run in to than just walls "
(74) Sahato: "Yes, I'm sure."
(74) Sahato: "Sorry, did you ask something?"
(81) Mitsuki: she makes a face to Yoshi's front this time, "you keep stating how we need to be careful. Is your city not safe for visitors, or do you all dislike visitors so much?"
(74) Sahato: "Your city does seem to fear those not of here very much."
As you come out of what seems like a maze you reach a section of the city that seems a lot like a country village of the old days.
(77) Yoshiaki: " your names would be nice " looks back at Mitsuki "not every one that lives here is not and outsider , but there are things here that would be bad if they were to fall in to the wrong hands ..."
Children play in the open and a small spring runs through the center of the collective houses.
(74) Sahato: "Well this place seems friendlier."
(74) Sahato: "I am called Sahato Borogai."
** (81) Mitsuki rolls her eyes at Yoshi, but then flashes a grin at Sahato. "You can call me Mitsuki." she leaves it at that, giving no family name **
(56) Evil DM: Knowledge local if you have it check for everyone but Sahato.
** (77) Yoshiaki smiles and nods " this way ladies " **
A linked group of homes rests on the side of the mountain they slowly grow more elaborate as the home increase in height.
As you approach you a few of the children playing outside come over to have a closer look at the group.
** (77) Yoshiaki leads them to a large house near the back of the zone . this house is the size of a large inn with two stories and a stables out back . near the stables you see what looks to be a small dojo . The pillars of the house are hand carved each one a work of art in and of it's self **
** (77) Yoshiaki smiles at the children **
(74) Sahato: "Is this your home?"
** (81) Mitsuki walks along by Sahato, staying close to her, but looking relaxed. **
** (74) Sahato smiles at the children **
(77) Yoshiaki: “yes mother lives in a better part of town but i find this area more peaceful "
(74) Sahato: "Except that it is in a city, this reminds me a little of my own home."
** (77) Yoshiaki nods and heads inside **
** (81) Mitsuki seems indifferent to the children, giving them a smile, but there isn't much warmth in it. She instead turns her attention to Sahato, "where is your home town Sahato?" **
(74) Sahato: "Hmmmmm? Oh I am from a holding near the Phoenix clan city."
(81) Mitsuki: she smiles, "seems you've traveled a ways to deliver whatever it is you're delivering"
(74) Sahato: "Yes I have."
(77) Yoshiaki: " are you two hungry ?"
** (81) Mitsuki shakes her head at Yoshi's question, "that is quite the devotion to your task, it must have been from someone important to you." **
(74) Sahato: "Now that you mention it, yes I am. It was a long journey and I did not have the best choice of food at times.'
** (77) Yoshiaki nods" i will show you to your rooms and ready a meal then” **
(74) Sahato: "A friend made me promise even as he died."
** (77) Yoshiaki walks down a hall way and stops in front of two doors **
** (74) Sahato looks away.... "I still do not know why he had such a need." **
** (81) Mitsuki nods, "a dying person's wish carries a lot of weight." she pats Sahato on the back, "are you fine with separate rooms? if you want, i can share a room with you for extra security" **
(74) Sahato: "I am fine in whatever room I find safe."
(77) Yoshiaki: “sorry if they are not up to what you normal expect i do not have guest often and was not expecting any today. The futons are in the cabinet in the back "
(74) Sahato: "The room is quite nice."
(74) Sahato: "Would there be a place of privacy where I may practice?"
(77) Yoshiaki: “you may use the dojo out back if you like "
(74) Sahato: "I thank you."
** (81) Mitsuki turns to Yoshi, "is there some way to send a message to the companions I came into the city with. They will worry about me if I don't tell them where I am" **
** (74) Sahato walks toward the dojo **
(77) Yoshiaki: “out side you will see a man in a yellow robe they are messengers "
** (81) Mitsuki nods, waving in thanks as she heads back out the door, making a straight line for the man in yellow **
** (77) Yoshiaki heads off to have a nice meal readed **
** (74) Sahato reaches the Dojo and focuses her mind and body inward as she kneels with her blade before her. A few minutes later she rises and begins a dance of the blade in perfect fluid motion. The blade seems to dance around her body or is it her body and blade are one? **
Family members that pass by the dojo stop and stare in awe... Some even leave a small donation for such skillfully swordsmanship.
** (81) Mitsuki heads back to the dojo to enjoy watching Sahato practice. **
** (74) Sahato ends the meditation as she began on her knees with the blade held before her. **
(56) Evil DM: Sahato give me a percentile roll please.

(56) Evil DM: You have learned a new Jutsu
** (77) Yoshiaki walks over as she finishes “dinner is ready when you are ladies " **
(74) Sahato: "I shall join you soon."
** (74) Sahato sheaths her blade and stands then follows him to the eating area. **
** (77) Yoshiaki nods walks out **
** (81) Mitsuki shakes her head, "I am tired from the day, I believe I'm going to retire to my room for the night. Good evening to you all." she gives a bow, the dip showing off a touch of cleavage. it's hard to tell if it's planned or not, but then she turns and heads to her room **
(81) Mitsuki: ((going to have to go. have a good night everyone!))
(74) Sahato: (( good night ))
** (77) Yoshiaki is waiting at a small table set with rice and many veggies and what looks to be a small amount of beef **
** (74) Sahato raises her eye when she sees the meat. "I am most impressed." **
(77) Yoshiaki: “I do not have guest often but i do try to be a good host .... i know what it is like to be an outsider"
(74) Sahato: "Just why am I so important?"
(77) Yoshiaki: " i don't really know all i know is the elders called me from my normal duties to find , guild and protect you ... of course you do not seem to need much protecting "
** (74) Sahato smiles. "I can appreciate the need for a guide in this city of yours. And No one ever is truly safe if they do not know what to expect." **
** (77) Yoshiaki nods and waits for sahato to be seated **
(74) Sahato: "I have never known one such as myself to need a guide so it is unexpected. I am but a humble Kensai and not of royalty."
** (77) Yoshiaki simple nods **
** (74) Sahato kneels at the dining area on one of the many pillows. **
Slowly the rest of the family comes in to eat dinner some a little shocked to see meat at the table even more so to see that Yoshiaki has a female guest with him.
A small group of elderly and young women come over to meet and greet Sahato.
** (77) Yoshiaki rolls his eyes **
** (74) Sahato bows respectfully to them and responds to what questions they have. **
The head of the house enters and the room falls silent he nods slightly towards Sahato "Welcome to our home." he says in a calm voice then takes his place at the table.
** (74) Sahato bows respectfully **
** (77) Yoshiaki bows and waits for Sahato to be seated **
** (74) Sahato sits **
** (77) Yoshiaki smiles and takes his seat **
** (77) Yoshiaki gets some food and starts to eat slowly **
** (74) Sahato eats sparingly of the meat allowing the rest of the family to enjoy the rare treat. **
** (77) Yoshiaki eats slowly watching for reacts **
The family seems quite pleased with Sahato some even look towards Yoshiaki and nod approval silently.
** (77) Yoshiaki eyes go wide understanding what they are thinking and turns beat red **
** (74) Sahato looks around at the family and realises that many think she is Yoshiaki's girlfriend...... "Oh no ....” **
** (74) Sahato looks to Yoshiaki for guidance about what to do. **
** (77) Yoshiaki shrugs not knowing how to handle this event **
The conversations at the table pause for a brief moment followed by an almost silent sigh... Then dinner continues.
