The Spirit Mystic

This spirit caller has taken a rare path to spiritual enlightenment.  They seek to become one with the spirit world and in some aspects gain immortality.  This practice though frowned on is accepted.  The Sight chooses the individual, but the individual chooses their Path.

Crossing Over

A Spirit Mystic learns early how to bridge the void between the material plane and the spirit plane.  She can move a portion of her body to the other side and deliver incorporeal touch attacks.  She adds her Charisma modifier in place of her Str to the attack roll.  This touch attack deals 1d6 damage + Charisma modifier.  Crossing Over has no miss chance against incorporeal foes.  Crossing Over can also be used to deliver touch spell effects.  This ability is useable  3 + Charisma modifier times per day while in a physical form a Merged Spirit Mystic can use this as many times as she wishes without counting against the uses per day.

 

The Merger

A Spirit Mystic can now cross her entire body over to the spirit realm.  She gains the incorporeal subtype and flight speed equal to her base movement (perfect maneuverability).  All armor, weapons, and all items carried become incorporeal with the Mystic and her spirit warrior ability grants ghost touch to all items on her person.  This ability lasts 1 round/level.

 

Haunt

This is the ability most Spirit Mystics are known for though normally in poor terms.  It allows a Spirit Mystic in incorporeal form to increase the power of spells.  Her link the spirit realm infuses her spells with a pure more potent from of energy.  She gains +1 to the DC of any spell she cast while merged.  Any touch spell she cast while merged or using crossing over increase to +2.  This has a very eerie effect since it can only be used while incorporeal and tends to frighten those not used to it.  Haunt stacks with the spell focus feat.

 

Second Step

The Spirit Mystic may remain merged for 1 minute per level.  He also increases the power pooled from his Haunt ability raising his spell DC’s by +2 (Her touch spell DC while merged or using crossing over increase to +3).  Any opponent who witnesses the Haunting must make a Will Save DC 10 + Spell level + Charisma modifier or be panicked for a number of rounds equal to the spirit mystic's charisma modifier in rounds.  She also gains the effect of the Spell Penetration feat while using Haunt.

 

Final Step

The Spirit Mystic can now merge for as long as she wishes.  Her Haunt ability is now a +3 bonus (Her touch spell DC while merged or using crossing over increase to +4).  She has finally passed a part of her essence over to the spirit realm and may remain their as long as she wishes.  This grants her longevity as well she no long suffers from the effects of old age and appears no older than a young adult for the rest of her natural life.  Her life span is doubled and at the end of her time she will simply travel to the celestial court for judgment.  She also gains the effect of Greater Spell Penetration feat while using Haunt.
