-=Family Honor vs Character Honor=-
Family Honor is a measure of deeds and actions of the family. This is also a form of reputation. When in a court or rural setting a +1 modifier is applied to any reaction rolls for every 10 points of family honor to a max of +10. Family Honor has no limit. This number may be further modified by relation to the NPC's involved.
Personal Honor has a maximum of 100. This does not limit a characters ability to increase family honor if a character reaches the 100 personal honor limits.
Members of a family can increase family honor by 1 point for every 10 points of personal honor they have gained though their deeds and actions.
By this formula a new character whose family honor is high might not be able to increase the honor of his family due to the fact the bar is set very high. While a character whose family begins with low honor is able to more easily though action and deed bring honor to his family name.
Qui has a family honor of 43, while Ugo has a family honor of 13. Qui must gain a total of 53 points of honor to increase the honor of her family by 1 point. Ugo must gain 23 points of honor to raise his families honor for example. Qui would increase her family honor for every 10 points increment past 43. So at 53 +1, 63 +1, and so on. The effect of raising honor does no increase the 10 point increment. Say from 53 to 64 since the family honor would be a 44 at that point.
With honor can also come shame depending on the a characters actions and deeds. The loss of honor can have a negative effect on the families name. For every 5 points of honor lost the family honor is decreased by 1.
