Duom & Exotic Weapon Proficiency Duom

 

The warriors of the crane clan are known to enter battle in what seems a harmless dance that quickly ends once their Duom are brought to the forefront.  Once known across the world for their love of the arts especially dance it is no wonder they have adopted this into a unique form of combat.  To those who understand the nature of this dance the danger is very apparent, but for those who do not.  A swift painless death is usually the reward for their folly.  The Crane Warriors train in large domes that resemble amphitheaters whose seats have been removed and replaced by those worthy to train with a Dai’Wei Master.  The massive Tier City of Trou has three of the monumental buildings left.

 

·         Dai’Wei Style at 2nd level a Crane Clan Warrior has finished basic training in the art of Dai’Wei.  She can now attack at with a Duom as a reach weapon or melee weapon with no penalty.

 

·         Walking on Tall Legs at 3rd level a Crane Clan Warrior has learned the evasive steps of the Dai’Wei.  She gains evasion and uncanny dodge as class skills.

 

·         Dai’Wei Dance at 4th level a Crane Clan Warrior training in the art of the Dai’Wei gives her new insight on how to use speed vs heavy armor or hide.  Once combat begins a Crane Clan Warrior wielding a Duom gains a +1 shield bonus to AC for every 4 Crane Warrior levels. 

 

·         Moving the Shadow at 6th level a Crane Clan Warrior has the skill to use an opponent’s own armor against him.  She gains a bonus to her AC equal to the armor check penalty of her attacker up to her Int modifier.  Against foes with natural armor she ignores 1 point of natural armor for every 4 levels of Crane Clan Warrior she knows when, how, and where to hit an opponent.

 

·         Singing Spear Technique at 8th level a Crane Clan Warrior has learned nearly perfected the art of Dai’Wei and can inflict wounds on vital areas with grace and precision.  She now adds her Int modifier to damage in addition to Str modifier rolls when using a Duom.  This bonus only applies when wielding a Duom.

 

·         Walking on Stilts at 10th level a Crane Clan Warrior has learned the inner most secrets of the Dai’Wei and is nearly a master of the style.  She gains the Improved Disarm and Improved Trip feats when wielding a Duom.

 

·         Running on Tall Legs at 12th level a Crane Clan Warrior has mastered the evasive steps of the Dai’Wei.  She improves her evasion and uncanny dodge to improved evasion and improved uncanny dodge.
