HEALTH: Since the year 2000, we decided to adhere to the QUALITY CHARTER that our Club the CENA, Proposes to all the breeders in France. This Charter consists of some breeding rules that will be a pledge of real Quality for our Dogs. The Club asks at least 50% of the stock are tested officially for the EYES and the HEART. We do it practically to 100%! The breeding dogs will be thus QUOTES 4, this is to say RECOMMENDED for the Kennel by the SCC, aimed first by The Club. Every Breeding dog will have been not only have been tested, but they also will have distinguished and thus classified themselves in the 4 FIRST places with the Qualifier EXCEL at shows, principally the Breed speciality's , and the Championships (National elevage, or Championship of the SCC). Structure and skeleton: The Joints of our puppies and adults will be tested by our very competent Veterinarians at every visit in order to reveal an eventual luxations of the patellas. (Any good veterinarian will be able to verify the joints ). EYE TESTS Our Eye tests are performed by an opthalmologist recommended by the SCC. After a very complete examination of the eyes an official certificate is issued for the eyes of our dogs, complete expansion of the pupils allows for examination of the retina and internal structor of the eyes CARDIAC TESTS Our Cardiac Tests are carried out at Houses Alfort, under the expertise of Ms Professor Val�rie Chetboul, recognised as the OFFICIAL READER OF THE ECHOCARDIOGRAPHIES FOR THE C.E.N.A. The cardiac examination is rather long, practically an hour! Ms Chetboul will inspect not only the MITRAL VALVES, as asked by the Club , but she will also examine Thouroughly every part of our dogs hearts It would not be worthwhile to examine just the valves and ignore another problem Thus no problem will escape from her, and we will have the most thourough cardiac examination possible (aortal and lung Doppler, surface atriale, pressure� etc�.and all the calculations interr�ssant the c�ur, for all mathematical east..) A Big Thank-you to Ms CHETBOUL, (and to all sound equips), for all the explainations given in her precious time, for her great competence in the service of our dogs, and her great kindness! Thanks to this wonderful team we understand and learn a lot � Thank-you also for allowing us to take photos at the time of the examinations for the making of our Health page � These 3 Principal problems: heart/eyes/joints will unfortunately too often be hereditary. This is the reason, it is impossible to envision & produce beautiful Kings without working especially and first on health, for the well being of all!! New owners of babies raised in our kennel will not only recieve copies of the Champion titles of their parents, but also Official health tests of their parents.. Our health tests are done & checked by some eminent specialists. A NON official Swedish site, took the liberty of publishing some King Charles � pedigrees & statistics ( only so few !), and without the owners & breeders� permissions ! This private site, not associated with the Official Swedish King Charles� club & its website, is presented & up dated by a single person, Who never bred King Charles Spaniel , & goes against several breeders & owners �will �.! The Same for the syringomelya �on fashion� in France, these diseases are really rare ! It is so easy, to use those � so called� studies, only to bring down the best Breeders, but above all, we deplore to bring down : our Breed ! King Charles, absolutely : don�t need this false, wrong & ashamed � advertising�, & these persons neither �.! |
