On Saturday, May 20th we will brew 2 ales:

1.  An Oatmeal Stout

2.  A Summer Wheat Ale.

Come over and learn about partial mash brewing as well as all grain brewing.  Partial mash allows the brewer to obtain a  much more developed malt profile than the typical extract kit allows for.  We will do a multi-step mash conversion followed by a mini-sparge.  This is an enormously helpful method that can be done with minimal equipment.

Also, an all grain batch will be brewed at the same time, as well as a kegging demonstration. 

This event will be held at 4222 Longfellow Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55407. Bring your favorite beer or homebrew.

Here is a schedule.  Feel free to drop in at any time.  This schedule will adjust as needed.

9:00 AM Water Heating

9:30 Partial Mash-in

9:45 Mid temp rest

10:00  Saccrification Rest Stout

10:00 Dough-in Wheat Ale

10:45 Sparge Stout.  Proceed to LME and DME additions and Boil.

11:00 Sparge Wheat Ale

11:15 Kegging Demonstration:  2 Stouts from Univeral Stout Day (samples included, if they dont suck)

12:00 Chill Stout and Ferment

12:30 Boil Wheat Ale

1:30 Chill Wheat Ale

2:00 Clean up and BBQ.
