LAREINE

     In August of 1994 Kamijo (then Shoki) had a chance meeting with Mayu, who had come late to an event that both were attending. Later that year, in November, the two decided to form a band named Laliene (the longer name of the band was Laliene ru cheri). As that year progressed, the two were in search of a bassist for their band.
     In January of 1995 Laliene found their bassist Emiru. (From my translations he appears to have introduced himself to the two founding members of the band by sending them a picture of himself in an ungodly tacky outfit with a huge pin on. ^_^;) Mayu temporarily left the band but to return in May. Then, on November 19th, Lareine got a drummer that would replace their old drummer Kyouka (now in Elphias Levi), Machi.
     Not much occurred in the year of 1996. The main events which happened were Laliene changing it's name to Lareine on March 26th, and the joining of their syn. and guitarist Akira in June. 
     In 1997 there was a lot of band activity. Lareine released their first press version of the mini-album [BLUE ROMANCE]. Also, the band went on their "Romancia" tour.
     1998 was a very busy year for Lareine. It seems as if they toured non stop. The band went on three tours this year. One, their "Fleur" ~le printemps~ tour, which lasted from March 22 to May 3rd. Second, their "Fleur" ~Hakuchou Tsuisou~ tour, which was from August 1 to September 27. And third, the IMAGE CONCERT TOUR, which was from October 17 to November 15. Lareine's official fan club [Fleur] was also opened this year.
     1999 was also a very busy year for the band. They went on two tours ("Metamorphose" tour from January 8 to the 19th, and the "Le vent express" tour from July 18 to August 13th) total and released three singles, and album and a video. This was the year in which Lareine had it's major debut with their first major single [fiançailles]. As the year pulled to a close, Lareine held a special X'mas party for all [Fleur] members.
     The years of 2000 started off well for Lareine. They released their fourth single [Bara wa Utsukushikuchiru/ Ano Hito no Aishita Hito Nara] and also released a video that compiled all of their music videos [Fierté no umi to domo ni katsutoshiyu ~FILM TRACKS~]. But, this year was filled with much sadness for all Lareine fans. On August 6th Mayu, Emiru and Machi left Lareine (due to Kamijo's wanting to pursue a more 'rock' sound and image etc.). 
     But despite this major drawback, Kamijo continued on with Lareine by himself. He released an album titled [Scream] and a single [GRAND PAIN]. Both which contain a more 'rock' sound but still remain true to Lareine's roots.
