Just Because
(c) 2001 James Heald

Sometimes you find a way
to break my heart
and sometimes I find a way
to keep my tears from falling
just because

Who loses at a time like that,
when something is supposed to happen
but doesnít because...
well, just because
just because

I can offer reasons
I can make excuses
I can count the cost
and still not pay the price
just because

When is it treason
When does it become excess
Who claims the loss
Weíre out of cinnamon and spice
just because

The numbers are crunched
The books are brought into balance
The jury gives the verdict
am I to execute judgment
just because
