(2000) starring Tim Robbins, Ryan Phillipe, Claire Forlani, Rachael Leigh Cook
Two actors that should always play bad guys in the movies are Leonardo Di Caprio and Ryan Phillipe. They are not hero material.
But then again, Cook is the last person you would suspect of being a bad guy, isn't she?
Had this film not been so predictable, I would have enjoyed it more. One megalomaniacal tech head of a software company out to take over the world, and steals ideas from free thinking computer hackers and then kills them... Who needs cliches like this when you have Uncle Sam investigating dudes like this all the time in real life?
When Cook's character pulls the plug on Phillipe, it becomes a shame that the bad guys didn't win. There would have been some kind of poetic justice to it, if you think about it long enough.
I saw this film once at the movies. Too much has been said by me about it. Moving along...
