| Tips for Sizing, Saving and Printing
To resize a background building image: 1. Open the page by double clicking on the file. 2. Single left click with the cursor on the image. This will cause small circles in each of the 4 corners of the image, plus a circle in the middle of each of the 4 sides. 3. If you want to change the size but keep the same shape simply place your cursor on one of the 4 corner circles, left click your mouse and hold it down while you drag the corner. 4. If you want to make the image taller or shorter, locate the cursor on the circle on the top of the image, left click and hold down as you drag the circle up or down. 5. If you want to make the image more wide or narrow repeat the above with the circle along the right or left edge of the image. When changing the size of an object you can reference the ruler on the left side and top of your computer screen in Microsoft Word. One inch on the ruler is equal to the following dimensions in various scales. In Z scale, one inch is equal to approximately 18 feet. In N scale one inch is equal to approximately 13 feet. HO scale/ 7feet, S scale/ 5 feet, O scale/ 4 feet, G scale (1:32)/ 3 feet, and F scale (1:20.3)/ 2 feet. Again these are approximations that have been rounded off. If sizing background buildings you may want things smaller to "force the perspective". To copy the image to another document: 1. Place the curser on the image and left click (the circles will appear again). 2. On a PC computer hold the "ctrl" key down as you press the "C" key to copy the image into the computer's internal clipboard. (In a Mac computer the "ctrl" key is the "Open Apple" symbol key). 3. You may now paste the image in another document. Open another document, hold down the "ctrl" key (open apple in Macs) and press the "V" key to paste the image into your new document. If you are really Word savvy, you can open a new document side-by-side with your document and drag the image over to the new document by clicking on the image, holding down the button, and dragging it over. Remember that changes cannot be saved on the CD itself. If you change sizes or use the images to create documents of your own you want to save them, you must use the "save as" drop-down at the top of the page and save the document to a new file on your computer. Background buildings are best printed on heavy weight paper (65 pounds) so they do not distort when glue is applied to the back. To print any document hold down the "ctrl" key (open apple in a Mac), and press the "P" key. When the print screen comes up press the "enter" key. |
