About Me
Hi there. My name is Lara Larame (well, not really, but I'd rather not give my name out online). In this section, you can learn a little bit more about me. I won't go into a lot of detail, since I'm planning on starting a personal site soon, plus I have a blog where you can read about me, but here's the basics.
I'm a Christian and a college student. I have been attending a small junior college near where I live for almost 3 years, and still don't have a major! *sweatdrop* I don't have a car either, or my license, so I take the bus everywhere (but, hey, at least I save on parking at school!). *major sweatdrop* But I am working on these things, slowly. It's not easy, let me tell ya.
Like I said, I am a Christian. I've been one since I was 7, and I grew up in church, a Christian family, and in a Christian school, which I attended from kindergarten until 12th grade. My testimony isn't some real amazing story, though. Basically, I heard about God at school and stuff and told my parents I wanted to accept Jesus as my savior, and they prayed with me.
Life has been tough lately, though. Not only am I attending a secular school for the first time, but I am struggling in my faith thanks to pressures from the world and my own cares and worries and hurts. Being this far along in college (and life) and not having a major or a driver's license, plus being overweight and a girl, brings a lot of pressure.
Besides school, I work part-time at a small, local Christian bookstore. Before that I worked in fast food, which is about the worst field ever. Flipping burgers really is the last job you'd want to do, and I worked at the place for a little over a year.
In my free time, I usually hang out by myself, being as introverted as I am, or with my family, or with my best friend, Amy (who taught me to do div layers so I could update this site; thanks, Amy!). I'm also involved with church; I go to the weekly college group and help out on one of the service teams for that. But otherwise I spend time reading, writing, surfing the web (usually on my laptop now that I have one), watching TV, playing video games, and singing and dancing to my CD's in front of my mirrored closet.
My favorite things include history, mythology, Celtic music, Christian music, anime, and classical music (especially Beethoven). My favorite movie is The Parent Trap. My least favorite things are vegetables, hard rock and hip-hop, lots of blood in movies, horror movies, shows or movies with lots of cussing and innuendoes, and being in crowds, especially at parties.
Well, I guess that's enough. Bye!
