I started Laraine's Swimwear and Resortwear in 1982
It is in a wonderful marina/mall in Punta Gorda, Fl
The mall is called Fishermen's Village and has approximately 35 stores and 6 restaurants.
It is located on the Peace River and is built out into beautiful Charlotte Harbor.
Fishermen's Village has been open 23 yrs and Laraine's has been there over 20 yrs.

Punta Gorda was voted best small city in the US for 2 years by Money Magazine
Laraine's was voted #1 Beachwear store in Charlotte County for the last six years. I was also vited number one Resortwear store in Southwest Florida.
There wasn't a contest before that
There are approximately 140,000 people in Charlotte County.
My store is approx. 1700 sq feet. I have thousands of swimsuits in my store 12 months of the year
I also carry many wonderful lines of sportswear, cruisewear,beach shoes,jewelry, gifts and coverups.
We are open year around 7 days a week.
We close for Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas at the store but not on the web.
We are occasionally open on New Year's Day.

Because of my interest in lighthouses I have a large selection of lighthouse clothing and jewelry. I also have a lot of cat and flamingo items.
