| You are looking at my 1993 "vintage red" RX-7 R1. Updated 1/3/08 |
| Eventually I'll get some more detailed pics up | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This car has 26k original miles and is stock except for: * Borla Catback * 17" Antera Wheels * PFS Intercooler * PFS Intake * PFS boost gauge * Pettit aluminum AST * Boost gauge mounted in Pettit steering column gauge pod * Stainless Steel Downpipe * Efini Y-pipe * GReddy Profec-B (spec II) boost controller * Russell stainless steel brake lines * ACT street/strip clutch * Fluidyne radiator and new hoses |
| I have also made some other little modifications like: * Redline fluid in tranny and diff * Linearized stock water temp gauge (see this place for details) * G-tech Pro (just for fun) * did "fan mod" so I can turn on fans at any time and let then run for 10 minutes after engine is shut off |

| I thought I had a boost problem, but I think it's just due to my high altitude The problem is discussed in detail here if you are interested: Also, I have summarized all the boost tests I've run here |
| I have since consulted with a rotary mechanic (Tom Huerta at RotaryRx in Albuquerque) who agreed that the issue is probably altitude related and not a concern When I changed the fuel filter I made a few mistakes (took a gasoline shower) that could easily have been avoided. I've written up what I *should* have done here. |
| Also, I had a hard time installing the downpipe. Read all about it here. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Thanks for checking out my car. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
