Gemma, Tanya and Gabs waited uneasily at the cafe near Laras house and the beach. There nervous hand fidgity playing with the spoon in there cup of warm tea. Gemma was talking quietly on her mobile phone to Nick. "I'm really worried I mean we got in there and he was there, I don't know, i've never liked Tom when we lived back on the Island I suspected that he hit her" Gem said confidentcially. "Come on Gem I can't handle any more of this were going back" Tanya said pulling Gem off her chair as she put the tip down on the table. Gemma continued to talk to Nick as they walked the beach way to the house. The cold breeze coming off the ocean hit there hair making Gemmas tied back hair come lose and hang over her face. As they made the way to the house the shimmery water rushed up the shore, the girls saw a dark figure collapse on the floor. The didn't know who it was but knew that this person needed help. "Nick we have seen someone collapse, no I don't know who it is" Gem said shakliy down the phone. The girls ran up to the figure as it tryed to get up again. The girls saw that this mystery figure was a woman with curly hair and blood trickling down her nose and a tear stained face. "Lara oh my god what did he do?" Gem said into the phone and to Lara. "Right Gem i'll be there in a minute ok" Said a worried Nick as he put the phone down sharply and rushed out of his house. The girls looked at Lara waiting for an answer until Lara spoke. A slight giggle came from inside her as her cold body shaked "You know the worst part of all this is that he smashed up my backstreet boys cds" her serious but funny tone in her voice whispered.
The girls helped her up as they saw Nick pull up in his car. He got out and saw the girls walk up to him with there arms round each other tightly.
Walking into Nicks warm house and knowing that they were safe made the girls happy. Nick got a blanket, spare t-shirt and kleenex for Lara. Lara looked into his mirror that was standing behind all his award winning trophys. "God I look a state" Lara said as she traced over the black eye that had just came up. Lara laughed and everyones serious faces looked at her. "Im all black and blue, you know what makes me laugh is the fact that he cheated on me so why should I get the beating" Lara said as her laughing turned into loud sobs of hysterica.She couldn't breath she cryed so much she was panicking she didn't know what to do with her self. Nick held her into his warm chest until she settled down."I hit him, you know I did but he just hit me twice as hard" she pointed at her tuffled hair that earlier that day had been done perfect."Lara you are gonna press charges right?" Tanya asked sincerly. "Of course I am, no one brakes my backstreet boys cds and gets away with it!" Lara said as she smiled. Nick looked confused."What?" "He told me he hated me and my career and how i keep on going on about the backstreet boys and that I made him cheat because of it! I mean I may have said a couple of times i can't wait to tour and that I loved your music" Lara said also confused. "I mean that is an pathetic excuse isn't it" Lara said. Nick and the girls took Lara up to bed so that she could get some sleep As the Shoke up Lara slept the others stayed up.
"I'm so worried about her, normally Lara is the strongest one out of all of us and can handle these things" Gemma said refering to her bestfriend. "I have known her all my life and she has never let a bloke effect her that much" Tanya said sipping her tea. "Yeah but I think she really loved Tom, what a dick!" Gabs muttered to herself. "Nick I really wanna thank you so much for putting us up for the night, I mean you haven't even known Lara long have you?" Gemma smiled. "Yeah I know but shes a good mate, I suppose thats why she has three best mates" Nick said as he turned on the tv. "Yeah well she is a brilliant friend, anyways haven't you got five best mates also?" Gemma questioned. "Yeah but there more like my brothers" Nick said as he channel surfed. "I'm so glad Lara is getting to do what she wants I mean we haven't really had the chance to do what we want" Gabs said. "Remember she used to say when we're 18 we will all go on a round the world trip" Tanya sighed. "Yeah and the first stop is Florida so we can..." Gemma said and thought out loud which put her into a position that she knew she was gonna find hard to get out of. "So you can?" Nick asked knowing Gemma said something that she wasn't meant to. Gemma looked at the others for help to get her out of this sticky mess. "Err to, to get a nice sun tan" Tanya hid the truth. When the truth was that Lara wanted to meet the backstreet boys and make Nick fall hopelessly in love with her, but then again that was when she was fifteen and she had a world of dreams ahead of her. "Oh ok" Nick agreed but thought that they were covering something up. "Yeah well she has already gone to Florida on her own and left us and is now about to go around the world again without us" Tanya sighed again. "Well you know she doesn't have to do all that around the world travelling on her own" Nick pointed out. "I could pull a few strings for you and get you to come on the tour" Nick smiled cheekily. "could you? well we will have to ask Lara in the morning!" Tanya said. With that they all headed to bed.
