DRY
skin so thin
tissue paper
dusted and thin
blood like sludge
chugging though my veins
lay open my arm
and i won't die
eyes like raisins
rolling about
in their sockets
my tears long gone
tongue thick
like a salted slug
shriveled and dying
my heart is
a desiccated thing
thudding sullen
my brain slow
confused, screaming
my hands, feet cold
sleep beckons me
like a forgotten lover
but i can't get warm
if i am seduced
by this siren's song
will i ever awake again
