: ~_~ First the sprites- now you. Anyway- Here is a guide to dealing with troublesome partners. Enjoy! Take it away, Elazul!

: You'll pay for this..

I'm sure this happens to anyone who's trying to protect someone sooner or later. You blink- and the person you're protecting managed to somehow vanish in that microsecond or turns out to not need your help. I have this problem frequently. Thus, I've chosen to share my knowledge for less experienced, frustrated defenders.

01: Raise a ruckus in town.

02: If this produces nothing, harrass a barmaid until she does or says something useful.

03: If she doesn't- keep harrassing her. Someone who can help you will soon turn up.

04: If there is absoluely, positively, utterly NO way he or she could turn up in a particular place- look there. That's probably where they are.

05: Never fear for their safety. monsters are only interested in hurting them when they know they're in a Knight's or some other protector's company. they'll be more than happy to attack YOU though.

06: Just accept that sometimes- your defendee doesn't NEED defending. He or she suddenly donning magical armor and picking up a large hammer may be a good indication of this event.

07: Keep checking bars and towers. Those are the two favored places for them to show up. Failing that, look in the most inconvienant dungeon you can think of.

08: Always have an attitude until your partner puts you in your place. It makes people view you more as intimidating if you glare alot and tell it like it is. -Just be sure your partner isn't around or isn't in view when you do this.

09: Make at least one good friend who'll cry for you, even if it means turning to stone. This will be a great boon for you and your partner.

10: KNIGHTS AND GUARDIANS ARE NOT LOVERS. Keep this cardinal rule in mind, keep your eyes off your partner's core, and just let the sprite lead you around. You're sure to succeed.

11: Death is not final. Just really really inconvienant.
