| MY THOUGHTS I am offended. It is completely homophobic. Kermit and Miss Piggy are flaming heterosexuals.They even flaunt it by getting married on Muppets Take Manhattan. So why can't Bert and Ernie be homosexual?! Get them out of the closet! I want to see them come out and eventually get married on Sesame Street!! |
| THOUGHTS FROM BRIAN LEWIS Bert and Ernie ARE homosexual, actually. It was Jim Henson's way of sensitizing children of the 70's and afterwards to homosexual couples. If Kermit and Piggy are blatant hets, then Bert and Ernie are blatant homosexuals, otherwise Bert would not have let Ernie eat cookies in HIS bed nor would he "burst" in on Ernie while he was taking a bath. I don't know any "brother" who would do that. |

B: i think there was a theory awhile back that they were going to announce it or something. but then they didn'tt. i honestly had never thought about it. i thought they were just two happily co-habiting citrus-colored muppets. then again, i was like 10, and i dont' even think i knew anyone who was gay yet well i was younger than 10 but anyway D: I think it's quite homophobic that they're not out yet. : The whole arguement that they're just muppets they don't have sexualities really bothers me B: maybe they're cousins. who knows. why's that? you don't believe in asexual muppets? :-) D: no! miss piggy and kermit got married..clearly they're heterosexual why can't bert and ernie be gay? besides the show is supposed to be multicultural and what would new york be without the gay community?
