Our favorite kitty "Skye" has passed on in a long slow battle with cancer. At almost 11 years young, Skye to the end was very much a little person in a cats body. His personality was one of a kind and we were blessed to have Skye as part of our family for these few short years. Skye was a cat with a soul, a heart and a very plump loveable body. Skye was a cat that comforted you when he saw tears, made you laugh with his human-like actions, and above all, acted as a member of the family and not a normal feline. Skye was in particular a confident and best friend to my mother who was with him until the very end. When my children were brought into the family picture, Skye accepted them with open paws and even purred his delight when my oldest would pick him up and pet him. Skye was not annoying, did not circle around your legs, did not bug you at night. He sat quietly beside you like a faithful old dog, he talked with you rather than at you, he wasn't the type of cat you wanted to kick off of the table. Skye was truely a beloved part of our family and he will be so greatly missed that there are no words. I am only truely sorry that my children will never experience owning a cat like Skye, because there never will be another like him.
