Dear Sisters,

Congratulations to every member of the AOH/LAOH Division 51 for taking home the coveted Mayor James Tate Award for overall Spirit of the Parade! What a day it was. I always feel as though our division looks and sounds the best if not the loudest! We always have that special something that makes us unique.   So there you have it, we always knew we were the best now everyone else knows. I especially would like to thank everyone that helped pull all of this together. The parade package packers, the kitchen witches, the set up & clean up crews and anyone else I may have forgotten. If not for you, it would never get off the ground.

We will be celebrating our 5th Anniversary in April. Can you believe it has been 5 years already?  We have accomplished so many things in such a short time.  We won the St. Patrick's Day Parade three times, we hosted two successful trips by the Sacred Heart Boxing Team from Northern Ireland, five successful Communion Breakfasts, everyone knows the Holy Name Quizzo, the Easter, Christmas and Thanksgiving families that we sponsor, and of course our famous, delicious, hand rolled, homemade Irish Potatoes. Do you realize that we have rolled and sold over 2000 lbs of potatoes? If this is what we have accomplished in the first five years, I can't wait to see what the next five will bring.

Our April meeting will begin with Mass at 7 PM in the Church. Immediately following we will have a short meeting followed by a social get together to celebrate our anniversary. The Division will supply refreshments.  Please remember to bring hor d'ourves or picky foods.

I have watched this Division grow from an idea into one of the most viable and active LAOH Divisions in the country. I have a great deal of pride in and love for all of my Fishtown Hibernian Girls. Congratulations!

In Our Motto,

Cheryl
