Get The Rice first started off back in the summer of 2002 with Joe singing and playing the drums, Jerry on his guitar, and Nate on the bass guitar. Formed together by our youth leader Steve. We started off playing a lot of Christian songs that were famous and a lot of Thai songs. Back then it was just Joe, Nate, and Jerry. Then in the fall and winter of 2003 the band went into a long hiatus before returning in the summer of 2003. During then we were named Savanh Lao. Then as we gotten better we decided to make our own music. In the Fall of 2003 Get The Rice signed on Bounra to play the bass guitar and Nate moved to guitar. With Bounrith as our manager. During the transformation we named ourselves Get The Rice or G.T.R. With our first song we had ever written and number 1 hit "Presence of Your Grace". Then in the winter of 2003 Bounrith was fired for not doing his duties as a manager and we went manager less for weeks until we met up with Boleen. Who has done a terrific job as our manager. Who's the best in sound editing and mixing. So Boleen then became our manager and was introduced at Khmer New Year Celebration. So that is the history of Get The Rice.
