What is e-paper?
Electronic Paper can be referred to as e-paper, electronic ink, or e-ink.

It was first developed in the 1970s; however, thirty years later, the technology is quite different.

e-paper is easier to read at an angle than flat screen monitors. It is lightweight, durable and highly flexible.

This wristwatch was developed by the Seiko Watch Corporation. It features a display made of e-paper which shows the time, while a decorative mosaic pattern changes constantly in the background.
How does e-paper work?
e-paper illuminates its pixels by using a backlight that reflects light just like ordinary paper. The difference is, e-paper can hold text and images for an indefinate amount of time. It does this without using processor power or electricity.
e-paper will eventually take the place of the paper and non-flexible TV and computer screens we use today.
