Turn Loose The Swans 係被公認為 My Dying Bride 最正既唱片，Doom Metal 中既代表作。呢隻碟既 Melody 非常動人，而且編曲更是一流！My Dying Bride 利用一貫作風：小提琴，來製造出幽美既氣氛，而鋼琴既運用可帶出孤寂既感覺。呢隻碟分別運用了 clean voice & death voice, 每當主音 Aaron 利用 clean voice 既時侯，佢都能夠俾到我地頹費絕望既感覺。雖然音樂係慢，但由於旋律實在係太幽美， 所以我地係唔會感到悶的。對我來說，如果合上雙眼來欣賞的話，音樂會是加倍動聽。我特別喜歡碟內某幾首歌，佢地都係極度頹費同埋心 up 的，好似 Sear Me mcmxc III, 那種空虛寂寞既感覺係難以形容的，其次係 Black God. 兩首歌都能夠俾到我一種死望邊緣，絕望，無助既感覺，正呀。而其他歌好似 Your River, Songless Bird 等，亦係非常空虛既音樂，但在寂靜中佢地亦帶有激烈既部分。我對呢隻牒無任可不滿，經典作，必買！

My Dying Bride 呢隻 The Angel & The Dark River 係一張華麗非常既專輯，但因為主音 Aaron無用死亡唱腔來唱，令有些 extreme metal 友感到失望。由於 My Dying Bride 係玩 Doom Metal, 所以每隻歌都幾長，起碼成六分鐘一隻。首先，如果閣下係非常喜歡小提琴的話，我想信你會喜歡呢隻碟內既憂怨小 提琴。特別係 Black Voyage 同埋 A Sea To Suffer In 既小提琴演奏，好正。在我既立場，我覺得呢隻碟係比 My Dying Bride 既經典作 Turn loose the swans 易入耳。我都要聽兩三次先至發覺 Turn loose the swans 既精彩絕倫。可能 My Dying Bride 刻意在 The Angel & The Dark River中製造氣氛吧，而 The Angel & The Dark River 雖然仍係 My Dying Bride 的一貫 Doom 作風，但在 doom metal 既聽發，佢係無 Turn loose the swans 那般完美的。點都好，The Angel & The Dark River仍然係一張佳作，而佢仍然會俾人一種孤單，心up既感覺。好似 track 1 Cry of mankind, 音樂既音量在8分鐘時逐漸變細，直至12分鐘。係呢4分鐘內，我地係可以感覺到孤獨既氣氛。而在 Black Voyage中，5-7 分鐘的時侯音樂亦變得孤寂無聲。整張大碟除了以小提琴作主導外，My Dying Bride 亦有用到 keyboard 同埋 acoustic guitar. 雖然每首歌都係慢，但某幾首歌亦有幾段幾快下的 riff, 好似 track 6 Your shameful heaven, 我覺得那段快 riff能帶出極動既感覺，好似係對天堂既藐視？而當快 riff 完結，感動既小提琴聲又出現，真係殺死人！最後想講下 D track 名，首首歌既名都好頹, 好絕望。
