If it is
God’s plan, it will succeed!
Is it God’s plan or our plan? If it is God’s plan then the following is especially applicable.
One
of the biggest mathematical miracles in
the world centers around Moses and the people of Israel. Moses and the people of Israel were in the
desert, but what was he going to do with them? They had to be fed, and feeding
3 to 3 ½ million people would require a
lot of food, water, etc.
According to a Quartermaster General of the Army, it
is reported that Moses would have to have 1 500 tons of food each day. To bring that amount of food each day, two freight trains, each a
1.6 km long, would be required!
Besides, they were out in the desert and they would have to
have firewood to cook the food. This
would take 4 000 tons of wood and a few more freight trains, each 8 km long,
for one day. And just to think, they
were forty years in transit.
Oh, yes, they would have to have water. If they only had enough to drink and wash a
few dishes, it would take 20 000 000 liters each day, and a freight train with
tank cars 18.8 km long, just to bring water. They had no lakes, and only a few
wells. How were they to get water?
And
then another thing! They had to get
across the Red Sea in one night. Now if they went on a narrow path, double
file, the line would be 1 280 km miles long and would require 35 days and
nights to get through. So, there had to be space in the Red Sea 4.8 km wide so
they could walk 5 000 abreast to get over in one night.
But, then, another problem. Every time they camped at the end of the day, a campground
about the size of the Greater Bloemfontein, or a total of 1
200 square km, was needed. That comprises an area 40 km wide and 48 km long.
Think of it! This
space just for nightly camping. Do you
think Moses figured all this out before he left? I think not.
Ever thought of the fact that above all, they had no
material to make any shoes or sandals from? Yet their sandals always fitted
them, even from kids to grown-ups!
You
see, Moses believed in God, and that
God was going to take care of these things for him.
Let
us take courage, we have the same God!
We
think our problems are so big. Remember what God can do!
So, team up with
God, and your problems will be in His care. Let him run your life, our lives,
and as the old song says: "He will take care of us!"
The road ahead is one of faith, truth and spirit!
