You can download "TRON 6.2" in SIX "little" zip files instead of one big zip file!

You must DOWNLOAD ALL THE FILES (6)
and execute "PKUNZIP TRON62* -d".
The asterisk is used to say "all the files which name starts with TRON62" (tron62a.zip, tron62b.zip, an so on..).
With the "-d" option, the files will be extracted into their correct position in the directories stucture of TRON.

Each file is about 100-200 kbytes long, so I hope you'll be able to download them without any problems!

This is a PUBLIC DOMAIN game! It means that:

• you don't have to pay money to have the game;
• you can copy the game (the .ZIP file) to everybody (but freely... without money in change).

The game is based on the Walt Disney's film TRON.

Programmed by Luigi Antenucci and Loris Tambara.

Requirements:

• Runs only on PC with MS-DOS system
• Required a 80386 processor (minimum)
• and a VGA 640x480 16 colours

NOTE: the Windows 9x users can also run the game by configuring the program to be execute in "MS-DOS MODE": you have to create an icon for "TRON.EXE", then click the right mouse button on it and select the "property" field. Then select the "program" tab, click on the "advanced" button and enable the "MS-DOS MODE" check-box. When you'll make a double click on the TRON icon, the computer will be reboot and then will be executed TRON.

Rules: drive a motor which can never stops itself, executes curves by 90 degrees and leaves a trace behind its. You must survive (don't hit anything)!

P.S.: yes, it's programmed by me and a friend of mine.

Characteristics:

• sound effects and speeches on Speaker or Sound-Blaster;
• from 2 at 8 players (using keyboard, joystick and mouse);
• computer can play too (with six levels of "intelligence");
• a game is composed by one or more races;
• team play available;
• field construction kit;
• all the game options can be changed.

IN THE VERSION 6.2:

• italian and english language;
• new sound effects and speeches;
• better computer "intelligence";
• new field definition;
• better uses of the VGA colours;

P.P.S.: if you have made some "fields" for TRON (using the internal FIELD EDITOR) I'll be very happy if you'll send them to me (via e-mail). So I'll insert them in this page!
