| Art by Loretta Spivak On a crisp, sunny January morning in 2006, I enrolled in an art class with Sue Duhamel and have never looked back. I am a self taught artist thru books, TV media and from the many wonderful artists I have met at art shows. I currently work in the media of oils and have painted birds, pets, landscapes, people and flora. My natural surroundings and world travels help me achieve a high degree of realism. Despite the lure of exotic places, Northern Onatrio has given endless photo opportunities such as Killarney, the LaCloche Mountains of Manitoulin Island and Onaping Falls now renamed A.Y. Jackson point re: " The Group of Seven". I strive to captrue my subjects in realism .... to paint a living creature and capture their eyes ... I have captured the very essence of their heart and soul..... My biggest fan and chauffer to art exhibits is my husband, Richard..... Thanks for believing . |
