The pictures below were taken during a visit to American Electric Power's John E. Amos coal-fired electrical generating plant on Thursday, August 8, 2002. This visit was the capstone event of the American Electric Power sponsored workshop "Experimental Design: An Introductory Course in Scientific Inquiry." The three-days, hands-on workshop was designed to help K-12 and college teachers find practical strategies for science classrooms and competitions. Thirty teachers participated in this workshop that was held August 5-8 in Huntington, WV. |
