Trip To UP - 28th-29th July 2001

	We started early morning on Saturday 28th July at about 12.30 AM. We had rented a new Saturn Sedan....

Brief Summary:

28th July
from Lansing, 8hrs drive to Munising (Upper Peninsula)..
booked a hotel at a neighbouring township called Christmas...
took some snaps of Grand Island and adjoining areas from a mountain top loaction... took a ferry/bus tour to Grand Island..
click click..click... for the next 3 hrs went around Grand Island with a guide... took snaps of anything & everything.. beautiful beaches...
Ameet & I went for a ride in the evening.. Ameet experimented with his new SLR camera while I enjoyed driving on the hilly, curvy, winding roads...
At night, we celebrated Ameet's B'day...

29th July
did some time pass in Christmas...
3hrs drive to Lower Falls of Tahq river.. beautiful place.. must see...
45min drive to Whitefish (via Paradise).. beautiful beach.. has a shipwreck museum.. the drive was memorable...
Lunch at Lake Trout...
Crossed the Bridge at around 1600hrs...
17.30.. lake Hougton... got our car stuck in sand.. had hard time getting it out.. thanks to the locals..
2100.. back to lansing.. celebrated Ameet's b'day again..
