Coach and Team Bios

Nena Metcalf  is the new head cheerleading coach for the 2004-2005 school year. She cheered competitivly at Grand Blanc High School until 2002 when she graduated and left to attend school at Utah State University. While in Utah, she coached the varsity cheerleading team at Granite High School and also held clinics for cheerleaders preparing for their college tryouts.. Nena also participated in many other activities including dance and winter guard and color guard throughout her life which she has won many titles in. She is studying deaf education and is excited to start coaching at LCC!
Audrey LaFave will be an assistant coach for the Lansing Community College cheer teams, mostly coaching gymnastics.  Audrey cheered for four years at Kingsford High School, a class B top ten team.  She has experience coaching gymnastics for Iron Mountian High School, a MCCA class C state champion team.  She is also certified by the Michigan Cheer Judges Association (MCJA) to judge cheerleading. Audrey is studying social science as a sophomore at Michigan State University and is also taking classes at LCC.
Wes Nalls is the stunt and pyrimid advisor.  He has had over 10 years of experience in cheerleading including competiting in the final rounds of many  national competitions.  He has not only cheered but has coached alot of teams. Several, of those teams also finished first in their competitions.  He has recently graduated college and is practicing nursing in Kentucky. He will be spending his long weekends driving up to Michigan to assist Nena with the team. We love Wes!!!
Lucercia is a senior at Everett High School. She started dancing ballet at age 9 and was also a competivie swimmer most of her life. She has also been doing modern dance in high school. Lucercia has been cheering since her freshman year of high school. Her declared major is child phycology.
Randy is a sophmore at LCC and a returning LCC cheerleader. He has danced some throughout his life and has taken gymnastics. He started cheering at Eastern High school, and did that for two years. He is still undecided with his major but is knows it is between computer science and graphics and web design.
Katie is a Junior at Everett High School and will be duel enrolled at LCC this fall. She has been cheering off and on since elementary school and has been dancing for 12 years.
Brittany is a freshman at LCC. Brittany cheered at Everett HIgh School in 2003-2004. She has been taking Modern Dance for four years now. Her majoir is Pre-Med
