Malcom Clifton Suber, a resident of Okemos, MI died April 3, 2006, of complications from a brain tumor. He was 57. Mr. Suber was born November 1, 1948 in Detroit, MI. "He lived and worked for his family," said his son, Daniel. "He's instilled in me a strong work ethic and the value of education." Mr. Suber was well educated with a bachelor's degree from Wayne State University, masters degree from Central Michigan University and law degree from Detroit College of Law. He worked for Ford Motor Company and later for Visteon in labor relations and human resources until his retirement in 2004. Mr. Suber was a patriot with love for his country and community. He enlisted in the Navy during the Vietnam War and served aboard the USS Cook as a Lieutenant. He was a founding member of the Lightning Lynx Track Club, serving as the organization's first Vice President and was a life member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. "He was a kind, soft-spoken gentleman, who generously supported his family and friends," said his wife, Alicia. He enjoyed traveling, collecting coffee mugs and shopping for others. |

Surviving are his wife, Alicia Evans; son, Daniel; brother, Clarence (Barbara) Suber of Fort Worth, TX; sisters, Patricia A. Suber of Detroit, MI and Donna M. Suber of Washington, D.C.; half-brother, William Eichelberger of Willingboro, NJ; father and mother-in-law, James and Margaret Evans of Detroit, MI; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Inez Suber. Funeral services were held on Saturday April 8, 2006. |
