Likes- Defeating Lai Kariniku in spars, fishing, country life Dislikes- Losing to Lai Kariniku in spars, making mistakes, crowded places Soryani trains with other students under is father in the "Haku Nanori"(White Tiger) sword-fighting style. His blindness was caused by a severe blow to the head when he was 7 yrs. old. He feels that beacuse of this handicap, it just compels him to work harder to acheive his goals. Strangly enough, he is still better at spars than his friends. Views Lai as a friendly rival since (1) she is a girl who can fight, something Sayori has never experienced before,(2) where Soryani likes the quiet, serene country side(Wahei translates to peace), Lai prefers the big cities, like Tokyo. And (3) Soryani's father and Lai's mother are not exactly on speaking terms, so they work they're problems out through their children. Soryani and Lai don't buy into it anymore, though, and they just spar for fun. |

| "Hungeki" (the sword with the diamond pattern on the hilt) is 4' 6" in length and is thicker than "Gekido"(the sword with the white ribbon around the hilt), which is 4' 7". Where, most of the students use one sword, Soryani prefers the feel of two. |
