The Story about Wings of Hope

On the 19th of March, 2003...George Bush
declared war on Iraq.
As I sat with my 3 children on the couch listening
to him, I couldn't help the tears. I've received a tremendous amount of emails regarding the treatment
of women in Iraq, and have always been very bothered by it all.
It is in my belief, that no matter what your religion,
race, sexual preference, or belief...everyone has the
right to freedom and dignity. I feel so sorry
for the innocent people in Iraq and its neighbours...
for this is a war that they didn't ask for.
Because of one man and his army, there will be
many lives lost, many people injured, and many
families torn apart.
After watching the news reports on CNN until
the wee hours of the morning, I decided to make
the graphic that you see above...appropriately named
"Wings of Hope."
I realize that, being one person, I really can't do
anything but hope and pray for the soldiers that have
gone to fight for the freedom of our world. I am
hoping that each person who visits this site will
proudly save this graphic and display it in all of
their emails, and also on their own websites if they
have one, as a gesture of support and hope and
above all, peace.
When you save this graphic, please don't change its
name.
Please also link it back to my site, and if you
decide that this graphic is something you would
feel honored to present, please email me and let
me know where it's going to be placed.

Until the day that the remaining soldiers are home
again with their families, and the innocent people
of Iraq are free again...
God will carry them under his wings.
Until that day happens,
I will proudly display Wings of Hope.
