As I wonder what ever happens
when I left City High in sev'n-three
    I come back with reminiscence
    of a high-school life that's free.

Here I am, Oh Alma Mater
    midst the sweet plantations wide
Here I come to you my City High
Alone and lonely, but with pride.

And as I leave again your portals
    towards the orange sunset
As I go again among mortals
    I kneel before your feet.

Where I learned to love, to live
I grew - my youthful days,  here -
I watch at a distance now, I leave
my love, my life, in silence,
there...
