| 4th March, Three Cheers for our side @ Schilleroper, Hamburg, Germany with Suburban kids with Biblical names, Kristallin & Springfactory Setlist: Where you belong + It's not you + The Cat's miaow + Who you're with + You're the one + Songs about you +I don't care at all + Botanic Gardens + Tara Mascara Sweet Lord! We�ve just come back home from Hamburg, with �just� being the operative word, as the flight back almost ended in tragedy. Marc was deemed to be under the influence of drugs, alcohol or both by an overenthusiastic Ryanair employee and was refused admission onto the plane. Luckily for the LoF we have our very own inter-foreign diplomat, Ashton Cameron, and with a few winks and a pinch of the arse he assured the good folks at Hamburg-Lubeck that it wasn�t booze or pills that Marc was on, it was Rock n� Roll �and booze. It was an early morning flight so we decided not to sleep and sing Karaoke from 12pm to 5am in the Red Light District instead. We all did a group version of �We Are The World�, (�it�s for charity� said Marc) & 'The Final Countdown' - truly one of the most surreal moments of our lives. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. Then Colm and Ben snogged each other after singing Take That�s masterpiece �Back For Good�, Marc wowed everyone by gyrating to the Bangles� �Walk Like an Egyptian� and A-ha�s �Take On Me� looking like a belly-dancing Phil Oakey to hysterical chants of �Alles Clar, We�re Having a Laugh! Alles Clar, We�re Having a Laugh! Alles Clar, We�re Having a Laugh!� from the crowd � none of them really knowing what was going on. Other highlights were Radio gaga, Walk on the wild side, Young Turks, too many to mention. Hopefully we'll be back in Hamburg soon. Great city, Great people. Really good to play with SKWBN too. Great band. We all had a good snowball fight after breakfast that day & a nice trip to the harbour, before we worked our way slowly towards the Thai karaoke bar. The gig?
