| KHOISAN is spoken in Southwestern Africa, and includes the languages of San (also called Hottentot, a derogatory name), Bushmen, Kxoe, !O!ung and Nama. These languages contain clicking consonants borrowed from neighboring languages. Until the NIGER-CONGO language family moved in, KHOISAN once covered most of Central and Southern Africa. | ||||||||
