Hallo, Oosteni, Njatjeta, Teanastellen, Ahlan, Salaam (Which works for Arabic, Farsi and Urdu and at least one other which I can't remember at this time), Egun on, Dobray Veacher, Shooboh shakal, Salud deoch, Dobrah ootro, Bon dia, How, Ni hao, Ahoj (Czech and Slovak), Hej, Barev/Parev, Hallo, Bonan Matenon, Tere, Salaam, Hei, Hallo, Salut, Ola, Tag, Yahsas, Om Swastyastu, Wushiwushi, Kaixo, Dobray Roneetsay, Shlama illakh, Bonjoo, Aloha, Shalom uve-raha, Namaste (Hindi, Nepalese and Sindhi), Jo napot kivanok, Hallo, Halo, Salve, Ahn Yo, Heus, Konichiwa, Labas Rytas, Ki kati, Chony, Salamat Siang, Yao, Zdravo (Which works for Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian and Slovenian), Vanakum, Maalin Wanaagsan, Jambo, Kaaro, Hello, Jaktam, Oi, Yow, Buna Ziua, ZdrashtVOOTyeh (Pronunciation of hello for Russian), Mehrhaba (Pronunciation of hello which works for Turkish and Uzbek), Sabadaii, Dobro Jutro, Demela, Hejsan, Magandan Araw, La Ora na, Sawad'dee, Dumelang, Hola, Gunaydin, Preeveeaht (Pronunciation of hello for Ukranian), Suboh bakhair, Bore da, Sawubon, Lay Ho (Pronunciation of hello in Cantonese Chinese), Tama Yar, Bom dia, Mohlo, Hallo, Jamm, Hello, Jamm ngaam and & finally, Lukemechk TeROKNONPooj (Pronunciation of greeting in Klingon, if you didn't know, and the literal translation of it means, "What do you want?") That's either hello, good morning, good afternoon, what's up or good day in all the languages I can think of at the moment. If it seem as though some of them are repeated, that's not the case as there are some languages where it's the same; such as Hello being the same in Pidgin English, Bengali, English, and to be honest, I just forgot what the other one was. Also, when saying goodbye, Chao or Tchau works in at least one dialect of Spanish, Italian, and a couple of the Eastern European languages, plus you'll be understood in a couple of others and by most Americans and some of the Portugese speaking people. Kinda like Taxi is known almost everywhere in the world. So keep it in mind if you know Taxi, Hello, Hola, Chao and Aloha, you've already got over 80 languages covered as far as I know, and it may be even more. As many of you know who have been to my page in the past (before I accidentally deleted it--lmaoolis [laughing my ass off out loud in spanish], I'm working on becoming the world's record holder in speaking in different languages. I know a little of 85 as of now, I can greet someone in about 90 to 95, maybe more, and I'm working on fluency in a few. Still have a way to go though, but eventually I'll get there. It's not like I study languages all the time. Don't have the time for it with work and school, etc. I was hoping to break the record by my birthday this year, May 17th, but it just ain't gonna happen by then that I can conceive of. Maybe by next year. Or, if I get plenty of sponsorships and scholarships, I'll work on my school studies and my language studies the most and I'll break it by the end of the year. Do I know them all fluently? NNNOOOO! I just started this about a year and a half ago on Labor Day weekend of 2003, so gimme a break. The current record holder who speaks 61 languages doesn't know all 61 fluently either (most of the people speaking in more than 30 languages don't know them all fluently), but there are some people who have been doing this longer than me and they are fluent in anywhere from 3 to 56 (I've heard a rumor of one fella in Russia that knows 95--I'd love to meet him and all the rest of people that do, and supposedly there's a woman who knows a little of 240); and surprisingly enough I still bump into people now and then that speak anywhere from 7 to 15 languages and it's really cool! Cause then I have someone to talk with in those different languages. I wonder sometimes just how many languages Jennifer Garner (Sydney on ABC's Alias), Linda Parks (Hoshi on UPN's Enterprise) and the people who star on CBS's Jag truly do speak. I admire their characters, as well as various people of the past including Jesus who spoke at least three languages fluently. Matter of fact a lot of people from the past or present spoke or speak in 2, 3, 4 or more languages. My mother spoke in somewhere between 20 to 30 when she was younger (she's been gone a few years now) and my father and other relatives all spoke in somewhere between 5 to 15 or so. I remember being in the crib, or later in diapers, and again at 2, 3 and 4 years old and many of the family and friends speaking in Russian, Ukranian, Polish, Lithuanian, Slovak and even French and Italian at times; and I look back now on it and I think it was pretty cool. I could however kick my parents in their ass for inhibiting me from learning them when I was younger. I love 'em both though, even though they're gone. They should have never kept me from learning though, and you shouldn't keep your children from learning either, as long as it's something that is truly good for them. If you want, you can call me Marty, Martin or 140 for short! I know a little of 72 languages (73 with Klingon) at last count. And actually, as of yesterday afternoon, 1/6/05, after chatting with an internet friend or two from the www.startrek.com site and one of the yahoo computer chat room I hit a few times a week, I found that I'm up to about 85 with dialects. I'm not stopping with the 85, I'm going for more. That's why I've got the 140. If I get to 300 or more, I'm not complaining. If you understood what I'm doing, many of you would do it as well, although maybe not to the extent that I am. Just out of curiosity, do any of you visitors know Vulcan? Just curious. Ya know, I just had a thought, other than German, Spanish and English, I don't know my name in other languages. If you happen to know what it would be in another language, e-mail me. Besides languages, I like reading the Bible (I try to read it everyday), Q'uran, Torah, Hindu Wisdom, etc., among a bevy of other things from computers (Yes, I like everything from Linux [Macs and Unix too!] to Windows), to business and financial information, cars, math, science and physics, health, entertainment, etc.--how the hell else are you supposed to learn about something! Wait til you experience it? Creo que no! Je ne pense pas! I don't think so! I like music too--all sorts of it! I listen to everything from A to Z there too! I especially like modern Christian music, Rap, Hip-Hop, Folk, Metal, Disco, Dance, Techno, Country, Classical, etc. Actually, the truth be known about my favorite performer is that it's actually a tie between Kylie Minogue, The Newsboys, Stacy Orrico, Shania Twain, Christina Aguilera, Avril Lavigne, Willie Nelson, Jentina, Usher, Pilar Montenegro and a lot more. Just out of curiosity, does anyone out there besides me remember being inside their mother, or the day that you were born. I'm just curious. I know that I'm not the only one, but there aren't many of us that remember that stuff. And seriously, I'm not making it up, I can remember bits and pieces of being in there, the day of my birth, being in diapers, in the crib, crawling around on the floor, the Nixon/Kennedy debate and even the death of John Kennedy. If I could ask you to do a couple of things for me, please keep me in prayer for my finances to improve and my health as well, I've got a bad pancreas (and I've already seen 3 people I know die from that) and keep the people affected by the Tsunami in your prayers as well. You can use the first 2 links to get to a place to donate if you want. If you want to know the pronunciation of anything I've placed here, feel free to e-mail me. I'll definitely reply. And, if you have your own page, feel free to send me an e-mail telling me so. I'll check out your page, too! Oh, and I almost forgot something. This is for all the people who might respond to me and say something to the effect of this: "Boy, for a guy that speaks in all those languages, you certainly don't use proper English!" Well, you have to understand something. There are various forms of proper language useage period. There's slang, street terms, industry specific, etc. I put down into words exactly what's on my mind at the moment. I'm not a by the book kind of guy solely. If I followed the book on everything, I wouldn't have boosted my IQ back up a few notches over the last year or so, and math would still be difficult for me. And when I build a car, van or truck or whatever I decide to do that runs on water, or if I build a supercomputer, what will you say to me then if I decided to say: "Well, I dun got meself edumacated the haahd way, by goin' to them thar schools!" I'll just be having fun then, like I'm having fun here. Surprisingly enough, I do know proper English, but I just might not want to write it or speak it all the time. When it's official business with a business, the state, federal goverment, church, school, etc., well then rest assured I'm going to use the appropriate forms of speech and grammer; unless I just happen to want to do it outside the box like I do at times. Come back, I'll have things set up more in the future including a voice greeting for your language. Have a nice day! Que tenga buenas dias! He la maika'i kau! You know, I sent the link for this page out to friends, acquaintances, my professors from school, and other people I've met and would you believe it, I've already got someone writing me back saying that I spammed them! HAHAHA! People don't even look at who's sending them something or read what they're getting.

If you click on the top link above, you can make donations to help the victims of the Indian Ocean tsunami or the victims of Hurricane Katrina as well. I have to say that I admire Apple Computers and Sun Microsystems for providing links at their sites to make donations; not every corporate site did that. I also admire former Presidents Clinton and Bush for getting together to assist in raising funds for those people as well. I also admire AOL and Netscape for putting a spot/link for donations on their site as well. And I greatly admire Sandra Bullock (on top of her being one of my favorite actresses) for donating the money she did--she's not even a member of the Forbes 400 and I'd truly like to see some of them get on the bandwagon as well. If I had the money, I'd certainly be helping out with some cash myself--it's the absolute right thing to do. Also, I'd like to take this moment to say Thank you to all our fine men and women in the armed forces for doing a great job, not just in the war in Iraq, or the war against terror, but for keeping this country free and safe, plus the work they're doing for the tsunami and Katrina victims too. You know, the bad thing about this disaster is that I vaguely remeber a dream I had about 3 to 5 or more years ago about something bad happening like that, but it's hard to remember every dream you have (or vision, let alone every moment of your life) and trying to remember everything I saw is almost impossible. I wouldn't doubt that the overal death toll from the tsunami reaches 155,000 to 180,000 or goes even higher still. Hopefully it's not going to be that bad, and hopefully all the governments of that region will pull together and get an efffective warning system in place. They really need to because it's going to happen again--how long from now I don't know, but it truly could happen again in just 2 to 5 years if things fall into place for it to happen. Doesn't have to be another 150 years ya know! If you're a person with an interest in languages, I hope you'll enjoy the page. I'm still working on it and have much more that I want to do--but Rome wasn't built in a day so to speak, and I have a lot of things I'm doing besides the work on this page. But come back and read through thing--you'll get a slight language lesson whenever you come here. Q'apla and Macte to everyone in this new year and every day and every year!

Would you like to know why I decided to learn all these languages? Well here are some answers for you: When you learn other languages, you're learning about other peoples cultures and customs. When you learn other languages, you get to communicate better with others. When you learn someone's language, other than your own, the other person usually appreciates your efforts to learn that. When you're learning another language, you're learning how to do something you already know in a different way. When you learn how to do something in a different way, you'll think differently, more creatively, and generally make better decisions. When you learn another language, it helps you to increase your ability to learn other things you're interested in learning or want to learn or need to learn (such as stuff for school). When you get to that point, and you will, even when learning just one or two other languages, then you'll spend less time trying to learn something thats needed and you'll be able to have more fun, do more and in all likelyhood come up with a way to incrase your productivity. Ideally, I've found that the greatest thinkers, researchers, mathematicians, astronomers, etc., all spoke, read, wrote, understood at least two or three other languages besides their own native tongue. So if you want to get more done, or accomplish more in you life as some of them did or still do, then try it, you'll like it! I'll eventually get to posting a list of people and some of their achievements in life. But as I've already said, everything takes time. Now, to maximize your ability to acquire/assimilate /learn and retain the data you want to pick up, there are certain foods that are good for you as well. Green leafy vegetables, broccoli, tomatoes, oranges, kiwi, spaghetti, nuts (especially almonds, cashews, walnuts and pecans), legumes (peas and beans) and fish.
After thinking about it a bit, and after a couple of people I chat with asked me to do so, I've decided to eventually get around to posting some words and their pronunciation (at least as best that I can put them into words) right here for you. There will be a voice greeting available later in various languages as well. There's a lot that I want to do, but it all takes time. I still have a lot of software to download, purchase, install, setup, etc., before I can do everything I want to. I altered some of this by html code at times because I was able to access it when I couldn't for some reason get PageBuilder to do what I wanted it to do or it should have done. So, for all you people thinking about doing pages in the future, make certain you know how to do some code. And like always, save what you're working on. And to set the record straight, someone accused me of using a translation service one night in a chat room. They said I was going there and using the service and then posting the translation. That might be nice to be able to do that, but considering you can't do that with Hawaiian, Hindi or Urdu at that particular site, I don't see how I could have done it. If you know of a site that has it available for those languages, by all means let me know. I'll use them to learn more.
I thought I had deleted this page forever, but have it again now (today being April 319, 2005). It's been two months since I updated it. Got lucky in finding a backup copy. Make certain you do your backups. Do you know how costly it is to retrieve data from your computer if you hire someone like me or a computer shop.
Things I want to do: Getting even closer to God. Continue going to school and learning more. Build some supercomputers. Enjoying life more before it's over--Life can be too short sometimes. Get past 120 languages and then to 140 and 150. Work on a cure for Muscular Dystrophy Build some vehicles that run on the sun and water. Celebrities that have electric cars are only reducing emissions a bit. I say lets take the next step and eliminate the s@$'s of a b&%%$@!s that cause the pollution in the first place. I personally like cars like the old Dodge Chargers with a 426 cu in Hemi engine, or even a nice midsize SUV like a Jeep Cherokee, Dodge Durango and others, but who says they have to run on gas! Same thing with city buses, big trucks and even heavy equipment in the construction or mining industry to name a few. Help our country reduce it's dependency on oil by 30% or more. We could do it, but it's going to take everyone, big and small business, the government, individuals, schools, etc., all doing their part. Experiment and build some of the things I have ideas for. Oh yeah, go chasing after some tornadoes! I personally feel that both John Kerry and President Bush were and are forward thinking individuals, but what they're wanting to do isn't quite enough. President Carter had good ideas too. We could do the right thing and truly work together and reduce our needs for fossil fuels drastically.
Other things I like in life: Good food. The company of friends. A nice looking gal with a nice smile in jeans or a miniskirt! (The kind that'll make me say 'Thank God!") Kind of like that Kylie Minogue and the others above or the ladies below and certainly some of my female friends. Cars that go fast and have some bass to 'em!
Hope you enjoyed that! Ha! Ha! I figured most people would.
Some of you like Kylie almost as much as me so I added a new link here!
