| The decision to have weight loss surgery is a very personal one. I by no means advocate the practice for everyone, but if it helps someone to read about my experience, then I am glad to share it. Due to serious weight-related health problems, I made the decision to have laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery on August 26, 2003.
