Since I joined #Newbies on IRC Undernet as a genuine newbie years ago, I've developed countless friendships with people who share the common interest of helping those new to IRC find good, clean chat with people from around the world in a "safe" environment. By safe I mean that profanity, solicitation of sex (real or otherwise), distribution of unwanted, potentially harmful, files, and abusive language are prohibited in #Newbies. The Ops uphold the responsibility of maintining the channel as a pleasant place to chat and offer technical assistance for numerous IRC clients. |
