I know, I know, it's taken me way too long to get these up. But I hope you enjoy them! :D Most of the pictures are NOT in order, and I've had to crop them to get the idjits in front of me out of the way. They're also saved as GIFs, which means they have a lot less definition than the actual pics. Oh well!

This is the view from the big hill, which is where a concertgoer enters the venue. It's a very pretty venue, but VERY WINDY! I had to use my visor and barettes to keep my hair out of my face and out of the camera's view!

This is the view from behind the stage. Very pretty, no?

The Proclaimers played first, as the sun was setting. If you look real hard, you can see, on the far left side, a bunch of pink and white. That's Barenaked1 (Kirsten? Kristen?) and her friends. I think Faerie_Arithena (Cathy) is also with them.

At the beginning of BNL's set, they ask you to refrain from wearing "cat in the hat"-style hats and using Cornish game hens.

In this picture, Steve's on the bigscreen, and if you look at Steve (the person, not the screen), you can see the smoke from the wildfires that were about 50 or 60 miles away.

In this picture, Ed jams on the big screen. From your left, you can see Ed's head, Tiny (in a chef outfit), Tyler at the drums, Jim on bass, Steve in mid-skip and Kevin at the keyboards. The jester face is also illuminated nicely!

Steve's on the beg screen, the big BNL letters are down, and it's just a good shot of the whole band, the smoke in the spotlights and the fools in front of me. It's probably one of my better photos.

This is the only shot I used my zoom lens on. GRR to me! I should have used it more often. Steve was on the opposite side of the stage for us, so I used zoom to get a decent closeup picture of him. The lack of a flash on this shot works well- the people in front of me are not highlighted, and the photo just looks good with all the black.

This is the band during "If I Had A Million Dollars." How do I know this? Kevin has his accordian out. :P He also plays it during "Straw Hat and Old Dirty Hank," but I don't think they played that song at the Gorge. This is one of the only shots that really shows the "Maroon" jester at your right- a big, blown-up jester. They weren't able to raise it up at the beginning, due to the wind, but took a break after to get the face blown up.

This is Steve and Ed chatting whilst the jester face is raised, I think. We had a chant to do while the crew was getting the face up, but I forgot what it was. Doh.

Two shots of Tyler, with Jim and with Kevin.

A good shot of Steve in front of Tyler's drums. If you'll notice, the big drum (bass? don't ask me) is decorated in the style of a Rush album cover.

A picture of Steve with more smoke in his spotlight.

Ed on stage, Ed on the bigscreen. The jester face is also highlighted pretty cool.

At the end of BNL shows, they do a little rap called "Farmboy/Homeboy," where Ed, Jim and Tyler do some old school dorky dancing and Ed beatboxes on the mic. Tyler messed up his knee earlier in the show, so he sat out the rap, but Jim and Ed went on!
Go back to Sugar's Spice!
