This is the field of Tucson Electric Park. They protected the infield so we could all trample on the outfield.

Sandra and I waited in line forever to get John O's autograph... she and I were two of the very few actual Five for Fighting fans there, and did we get FFF love?! NO! John had to go do an interview, then get up on stage...

This is the only way Sandra could get a picture with Five for Fighting! There were actually two people in Five for Fighting that day. They were flying to Florida right after their show because their management had made the great decision to book them at two shows in one day!
So Sandra and I ended up wanting to see the first band, Five for Fighting, and the LAST band, Smashmouth. We had to sit through some pretty boring stuff!! Tyrese, Mandy Moore, and plenty of other teen pop acts. On the upside, I met Pat Benetar's daughter. She's in a group called Glo, or Glow, and she and another member were walking around in really swanky, trendy stuff. They attracted a crowd, so I was like, "OK, let's see who this is!" I went down there and started asking people, and finally someone said that they were Glo(w), and then I saw Miss Benetar's hat. It rocked, despite being very trendy, so I waited in the mob to tell her that it rocked. :P So she's like, "Thanks! What's your name?" So we exchanged names (I feel bad I forgot what hers was :P), and then she went to shake my hand... warning signals totally went off, because I had been scarfing Kettle Korn! I shook her hand anyway, then told her I'd been eating Kettle Korn, to which she replied... "That's OK, we've been eating backstage too." My mind was blown! What a savvy way to recover from shaking hands with a commoner such as myself! So I'm way impressed with how poised and quick she was!
And now, for something completely different, some Smashmouth pictures.
