We support our church, our local community, and international charities through our many fundraising projects. One of our most challenging activities is to help celebrate Langham Days with a children's carnival. This festival involves not only every able-bodied women, but husbands and children are also recruited to fulfill a myriad of duties, ensuring the day is a roaring success. We also host a much anticipated Harvest Sale where the bounties of our gardens are displayed and offered to those whose summers were spent in other pursuits. This huge fundraising effort is used to support the United Church's mission and service work around the world.
We reach out to people in our community who are ill or alone. We are always there for hospital visits or to do what is needed for a funeral. We also take every opportunity to celebrate births, baptisms, birthdays- any occasion for cake and coffee and laughter!!
