Your voice so harmonious
Your songs were wonderful
But five months ago you left us
We will all miss you
You will always be in our hearts
Like you, there were no others
Now you are among the brightest stars
This poem to you I write
I wish it was not for this reason
You were my shining light
I will think of you season after season
Beneath the dirt you lie
Why, Layne, did you have to die?
