Stuart and I are happily married. We finally got what we both wanted each other. Everyone who knows us, knows that we were meant to be together. Although, in the beginning we encountered some obstacles that threatened to keep us apart.

When I first met him, I didn't exactly like him. Stuart was irritating, annoying, and loud. His favorite word was "dude." It drove me crazy.

I was sitting in the courtyard for lunch, reading a book. Suddenly, out of nowhere I heard, "Hey, dude." I looked up and saw a guy dressed in funny-looking clothes. I decided to ignore him and returned to my book.

"What's up?" he asked through a mouthful of chips.

  "Nothing."

"Oh. Hey, my name's Stuart. Mind if I grab a seat?" He didn't even bother to wait for an answer. He just pulled up a chair and sat down. He looked like one of those damn skaters on TV. He's probably going to talk nonsense.

"Hey, dude. You ever skateboarded before? It's awesome!"

"Um, my name's Michael not dude. And no, I've never skated before. But I'm pretty sure you have."

He looked worse than a two-year-old eating his chips. Man, what a disgrace. I looked away and continued to read my book. I was finally to page 100 before this guy showed up.

"Hey, dude...I mean Michael, what are reading?"

"It's War and Peace by Tolstoy. You probably couldn't understand it."

"What you trying to say, that I'm stupid? You know what, I came here to chat with you and you insult me. Forget this." He gets up and walks away.

"You know what," I yelled at him, "I never asked you to bother me anyway!"

So that's how our first meeting went. I feel bad for thinking that he wasn't intelligent. Boy, did he prove me wrong. The next day in English class, he gave an oral report on the book Crime and Punishment. I didn't think someone like him could ever understand such an advanced book. I guess I shouldn't judge a book by its cover. I tried to talk to him but he didn't want to speak to me anymore.

"Hey sweetie. I'm home," whispered someone in my ear. I turned around and was met by my beloved's lips. We shared a breathtaking kiss before he picked me up and carried me to the living room. He sat on the couch with me in his lap. We broke the kiss and stared into each other's eyes. His eyes are so beautiful, so captivating. I still get lost in them.

"Are you listening to me?" he asked sweetly, snapping me out of my trance. "I asked you what were you thinking before I came in?"

"Oh...that...well..." My cheeks were burning red. This happens every time he asks me something. He says it's cute but I think it's pathetic. But he's the boss.

"You're not going to tell me, even after that kiss?" he pouts. He looks so cute when he does that. I nod my head "no" and rest my head on his shoulders. That's when I noticed a small box behind the couch.

"Um, Stuart, what's in the box?" I look at him and see cheeks turning red. It must be the surprise he's been telling me about all week. I jumped out of his lap and went directly to the box. I hear a small growl coming from the box, which send me flying back into his arms.

"Don't worry baby. It's just a puppy. I wanted to give him to you for your birthday. He's harmless." He looks at me with the most adorable smile. I loose all my fear and open the box. Inside was the cutest puppy I've ever seen. He had bright blue eyes and soft white fur. I pick him up and he starts licking my face. Stuart stand back quietly with an approving smile on his face.

"So, what should we name him?" he asks as he sits down next to us. I was so happy I completely forgot about that.

  "How about Stuey after you?"

"Okay." He wraps his arms around me and kisses me cheeks. "Not in front of the kid I giggled."
