Chapter 1: "The New Patient "

Today is my second day here. I just started working at the Center for Abused Teens. The stories I’ve heard so far are horrible. But the most disturbing of all was the one about Billi. As far as I know this is how the story goes.

Billi was abandoned by his mother when he was a newborn baby. She dropped him off at her brother’s doorsteps and never came back. She didn’t leave a note so no one knows why she did that. Billi’s uncle wasn’t very good to him. He loved to beat the poor boy and eventually started molesting him.

Billy suffered many cuts, bruises, and broken bones. Whenever he was taken to the hospital- which wasn’t often because the bastard loved to see the poor child in pain- he said it was an accident. Billi lived in fear and never told anyone. Teachers started to get concerned when he missed week after week of school. They called social service but they found no proof or evidence. Plus, poor Billi was too scared to say anything.

After that incident, Billy’s uncle became more careful. He would hit him in places that could be covered easily. The sexual abuse also continued, worse than before. He loved to see Billi in pain and satisfy his lust as well.

Thankfully, that all came to a stop last week. A neighbor heard Billi’s screams one night and called the cops. When the cops came in, they found Billi’s naked body bleeding on the floor while his uncle kept on kicking him. The police lunged at him and managed to handcuff him and take him away. They picked Billi off the floor and took him to the hospital.

He was treated for several cuts and three broken ribs. After four days, since the police and social service couldn’t find anyone to look after him they brought him here.

That’s all I know. Poor kid. I haven’t seen him yet. I think they still have him in the recovery ward. Maybe I’ll see him when he comes to this side. I hope he’ll make it especially after all those years of abuse. I don’t even know how old he is.

“Bobby, your patient’s waiting.”

“Oh, hi Agnes. I was just thinking about someone. Umm, I’ll get right to it.”
