| March 8, 2003 - Due to the bombing at Davao Airport, the US State Department has restricted travel to the island of Mindanao. Nine volunteers from our group were going to be assigned there. Peace Corps will find new assignments for us. | ||||||||||||
| From March 13-15, the Peace Corps Business Advising for Youth Development group hosted 25 youth for a 3 day "Entrepreneur Camp" at Dumadag Farm. It was an opporunity for the youth (ages 17-22) to work on their business ideas with us. I leared a lot, like about what they aspire to - many want to be doctors, nurses, teachers and policmen/women. Hopefully they will have the opportunity, discipline and confidence to reach their goals. | ||||||||||||

| On the last day of camp, we traveled to Loboc and a nice place called Nutz Hutz. We rode a boat up the Loboc River to the secluded place. We saw a Tarsier, the world's smallest mammal, found only in the southern Philippines. | ||||||||||||
