June - July 2005 - Manila is so interesting to me because you can go from eating mais (corn) on the street one minute to being served english afternoon tea at the Peninsula the next. The lobby of the Peninsula hotel in Makati gets my vote as the most elegant hotel lobby. Their tea and scones were very good. Below, those 3 bananas (monkeys?) do their patented "hear no evil..." pose. The location is at an art gallery in Antipolo, in the hills overlooking Manila. It is a very nice home owned by a patron of the arts who allows young artists to work there for a minimal fee. |

| Below are 3 stylish Manila girls ready to go sailing. My yoga friends Mike and Germaine are sailors and members of the Taal Lake Yacht Club in Tagaytay, a few hours drive south of Manila. They sail hobbie cats on the weekend on Taal Lake. It is really a fun way to spend the weekend. Lots of fun to be had in and around Manila... |
